410DA Purchase

:smt101 WOW domenic!
i just spent 45 minutes reading this saga (i just stumbled upon it). you need to write a book about this. extremely informative, i must say.

so...what's going on now? is this a done deal?

Ron:

It certainly is a "book"...it starts in the engines category under 3116 v 3126 and then evolved over here...

After a few unforseen delays, I am now scheduled to close on MY 410 this coming Saturday.....

As it turns out, MM will be closing on my old 380 immediately after I close on the 410...they need my bill of sale...the buyer of the 380 was introduced to me by another CSR member...he wanted to buy my 380 but first had to sell a 290AJ....once I traded in the 380, he was able to trade in his 290AJ....so, hopefully it will all work out....OH....and lets not forget, if another CSR member here didn't first trade in his old 410 (MY new 410) this story would have had a totally different ending....final post in this thread by Saturday afternoon......I HOPE...

Dominic: Your two threads are a great help to anyone trying to buy a boat. Iam still trying to work thru to a bigger boat and your thoughts have been a big help. Let us know Sat when its over. JC

Dominic,
Between your 410 purchase thread and my 420 purchase thread in March/April 2006 we probably covered much of the ground that folks contemplating diesel express purchases might have questions about. I should have archived all those posts. Oh well. Congratulations again, and i hope we all can link up this summer on the Chesapeake....for the inaugural "Shiny Boat Contest (Chesapeake/New Joysey Edition) 2007"

regards

On top of the approx 150 replies and over 6000 views in this thread, I have archived over 30 PMs and at least 100 private emails from behind the scenes....This has been an absolutely memorable and wonderful experience and I hope that everyone here has enjoyed reading and following this thread as much as I and the other repliers have enjoyed sharing the experience.... :smt038 ...thanks to you all....

I am looking forward to the first annual (shinny boat) Chesapeake/Joysey cruise the summer of '07........

Dom,

I agree with Ron, I have totally enjoyed following your purchase. The hunt is half of the fun and we have all been able to share the fun with you and only you have the bills to pay!! With Frank H now on the Chesapeke, you will have to become the official 410 DA of the "spot"

See ya this summer

Jon

Someone else must have thought the add was badly done. It now does show 2 engines.

Big brother is watching you... uhhh us!

I think that when you are busy with a deal, don't give too much details here.
Maybe it can influence the success from your deal

Well....It's official.....I just closed on MY new 2003 410DA....notice my new sig and avatar....I'll have to change my virtual marina pics later....I can't say thanks enough...again...to all that participated...It was surely fun...This will be a date to remember...it was 72 degrees on the car temp....in January...in NJ.....

..Now to go get some hours her.....

Dom, Congrats. on your "new" baby. Your going to love the 410 w/oil-burners. My last boat was a 410 (EC) w/6cta's. My wife and I have enjoyed reading every post and as you can see by the amount of views, so have others. It won't be long now and you will be burning thru the fuel on that one!

"Bout time.........Congrats Dominic..Good luck and we will see you on the Chesapeake this summer...Hell, I may just drive to Bayville and visit the boat in your backyard!!

Congrats. Dominic, I hope to join you in the next little bit If the liquered :smt101 up salesperson will get his act together. Again Dom congrats! JC

Thanks guys...hope you all enjoyed this chapter in my life....I certainly enjoyed sharing it.....

Frank H...by all means....if you're back in "Joesey" visiting...shoot me out an email next spring and stop by......

The delivery date is set for March 31....the last Saturday of the month....for now she's up on the Hard......and when I left her this morning the crew at MM were already working on "The List"....taking advantage of 72 degrees in January....HMMMM "The List"....sounds like the subject for a new thread.......

Dominic,
Congratulations. Ahhhh...the heady scent of diesel exhaust, the rush when turbo diesels spool up and push 12 tons of Sea Ray forward.
We look forward to a link up on the bay this summer. Shiniest boat buys the beverages.

Congrats Dom! Enjoy the ride....you will!

Now, come up to the Cat seminar in March, its in Long Island not far from the Lindenhurst MM, Holtsville at H.O.Penn

Congrats again

Pete:

Funny you should ask...Friday Morning I spoke with my salesman. He Called me to let me know that he sent out some AC Boat Show tickets, and to go over the LIST.....

I'll have to shorten up the list a bit before I post...It was a 4 page Word Document....with many of the items very benign....but...MM has been working.....
