F-I-N-A-L-L-Y.....tomorrow morning, 0900.....Devlivery Day..... :smt038 .....

I've been home in bed with a touch of the flu since Monday....actually started feeling ill on Sunday.....All this talk about calling in sick for delvery day jinxed me.....BUT....I am finally starting to turn the corner and will actually be getting out of bed today sometime.....

I've got so many drugs in me right now, I'll have to detox before I can drive home.......

I've got my punch list already printed, and the garage has been pre-loaded, right at the door, to load the car in the morning with the necessary gear for the ride home......

I've been in constant touch with MM and the all the great folks at the Ship Bottom Store and the Brant Beach Delivery Marina. Based on my own visits and the conversations I've had with the Srvc Mgr, my list appears to be just about complete. I'll do a final walk through in the AM and the MM Captain will spend some time with me before I take the helm and bring her home......

I shouldn't need to count sheep to get to sleep tonight. If my sinus' clear even a little, I may finally get a full nights sleep.....heck, I might even need the alarm clock.....

later,

I haven't had a full nights sleep for the past week anticipating my delivery on Saturday so I know how you feel. I've been out to the boat at least 5 times this week already. Seems only thing left is to put the name on her. I will be meeting my mechanic today and taking her out for a pre-delivery demo just to make sure all systems are in order.

Good Luck Dom and have a safe trip home. I'm sure it will be great and you will be making many wonderful fun memories with her. She is a beaut! Smooth Sailing captain.

See you on the forum and maybe even in the blue one day! :smt038

Everyone is offering suggestions so here are a couple..........

Forget about learning how to run the boat from your delivery guy. This boat is easier to handle and is more predictable than your 380 except for one thing.......when you put Cats in gear, the boat is going somewhere, right now, so be sure it is pointed where you intend to go. Keep your mind ahead of the boat and anticipate its reaction to gears........a little goes a long way.

Concentrate your day's learning on the boat's systems and how they differ from what you already know.

Have fun.....its just another day on the water with a little more fiberglass in front of the windshield.

We had 20-25 mph NNW winds all day today. The water is very skinny out there. I hope I don't "polish" the props on the maiden voyage.....

Tomorrow's your day Dom. Enjoy it and I agree with FW, just concentrate on the boat's systems and how to use them properly, the rest will fall into place naturally.
Enjoy your new toy and be safe, it's not you I worry about but all of the other crazies.

Also, thanks Rob for the advise. It is well received and I totally agree with you. Met my mechanic at the boat today and went over all systems including the generator under full load. No leaks and everything is running great so Saturday should be just what FW said, a day to learn about the boat.

Happy Boating Dom & Good Luck!!

Sit back, relax in the helm chair, and enjoy the moment. You worked hard to get to this point. And when the turbos spool up, it really is OK to grin like a kid at Christmas. I do it every time I run the 420.

From the looks of the weather here in South Eastern PA he has a great day for a boat ride. It's 54 degrees already and no wind (at least here in mushroom country). I am sure he will be thrilled with his 410, I know we are! I am jealous and  with envy!!!!Won't be too long for us now.
