36 Sedan Bridge Owners

I didn't, insurance company totaled it and wouldn't let me buy it back, had to buy at auction if I wanted to keep it. Didn't want to wait for the auction (just sold last month) so we picked up a Meridian 408 last fall.

Original problem was just over a year ago, marina was hit by lightening and smoked one of the e-plex modules which embedded a smoke odor in all the cushions and upholstery.
 
Hey Folks,

Are there any common reasons for a "UU - Low Voltage" reading on the generator? Fired it up for the first time this year and it shuts down after about 5 seconds..It shuts down with the same error code whether I start from the control panel or if it's a manual start.

The only other time it was run this year was when Marine Max had to replace the water pump. Apparently it was run and worked great after it was fixed.

I had the same code - and it was due to a loose fuse. Check all your fuses. Also, I think to reset you need to turn off, then on at the genny, then off, then back to auto to enable remote starting.
 
Thanks Wetpaint, so far so good. It's in the shop right know, found some blisters during the survey last fall. Fixing them was part of the sale.

We really enjoy the wider beam, leaves enough room for a sofa sleeper.
 
Apologize if this has been covered, but I couldn't find anything specific when searching the posts. Has anyone come up with a good solution to keep exhaust fumes out of the bridge when running with the front canvas closed? I'm planning on installing a windshield/wiper combo & am concerned I won’t be able to get the necessary ventilation from just opening the side curtains... Would installing a hatch cover/door help?

I would assume this is a gas issue......I do not have this issue.......Go faster...kidding......I would think ventilation is the key...Where are the fumes coming into the bridge from.....Stairs? Rear eisenglass opening.....
 
Correct, I was cheap and got the gas boat vs. Diesel :) I'm pretty sure it's comming up the stairs as well as through the aft curtain. I've run with the Aft Curtain closed & it's definitley better, but that's with the front eisenglass open (and the aft curtain says not to run with it closed?!?). I'm thinking I'll bring a portable CO2 sensor & see what happens with both the front & rear closed & just the sides open...
 
Hi Kevin- What kind of Eplex stuff do you have for sale? Ive been buying any of this stuff that I can get my hands on in case of an emergency since it seems hard to get ahold of. Thanks
 
I have the large touchscreen system (one above the TV), the small main computer and some modules. The modules and small main computer would need to be tested first, I know the large touch screen works.

Diesel owners !! What's your fuel burn when cruising and cruise speed? My '07 Gasser @ 3600 rpm is burning 38-40 gph and doing 18-19 knots. New boat to me this year.
 
Ouch. I thought I had it bad.
 
I have all the info at home....I will post....2000 rpm's = 16 gals......WOT (3000 rpm's) = 32 gals

I have rounded up to 1/2 gallons........Each figure represents per engine
and diesel....Also note....Figures were not taking at same time, but all in last month....
