36 Sedan Bridge Owners

I will look in my records.......I think it was Crate & Barrel or some store like that....It matches the weave color under the two soffas perfect.....the size was perfect too...a bit longer than wide.....let me see if i can find it

Boat just arrived home. Was transported from NC to MN this weekend, needless to say they had to tear a lot of it down for the trip up north.

That's actually a great looking boat just as it is there. (Always a great looking boat when assembled as well.)

Has anyone checked the water level in their batteries? Mine are Deka Marina Master's, and there appears to be no caps to remove to check the water level. The label says to remove to check the water level, but it appears to be near impossible to remove. Any thoughts?

You may have a single strip covering all cells. They lift iift up from a tab on the side and peel across the top, opening the cells.

Thnks for the battery advice. One more thing...does anyone know where the 12V outlet is in the galley? How about the freshwater washdown spigot in the bilge? Can't seem to find either. TIA.

Remove the decal/label that you mention and you will find 6 circular individual caps to remove and add water. I had a boat with those same batteries for the bow thruster and I thought that they could not be serviced until one of them blew up after two years of never adding water to them. They were completely dry!!!

Good Luck

Thanks Bluebelly! I'll give it another look over New Years. Definitely don't want a blowout!

Hello Everyone. I wanted to know if anyone has had a problem with the Sedan Bridges electrical system, ie batteries draining with all sys off. If anyone could help that would be great. Thanks

Are you sure everything is off.......I have had no issues.....what is the time frame that this is happening between your use.......1 day.......week......etc

Has anyone convert a inbord to outbard on this 34 or 36 ft

Did anyone respond to your question about converting inboards to outboards?

I saw a similar post that did get quite a few useful responses. Several said that it was possible and they've seen several such conversions on the water; most seemed to have mentioned adding the bracket/frame to the transom, with some commenting on beefing up the transom to handle the additional load. Cost estimate was upwards of $50K when all said and done.

I am big fan of the newer 4 cycle outboards and the Evinrude E-Tec series.

Why do you ask, are you considering a conversion, if so what factors are you weighing as pros / cons?

Cheers
Jeff

Any one find the spigot in the bilge,or the proper way to shut computer down when in long term storage(3 to 5 months with no battery charger....

The batteries begin to drain over the first day. Everthing is off...ie battery switches and all sys's.

I agree - thats one of my few complaints - such a beautiful boat the the primary seating is frankly kind of cheaply conceived and built. I purchased to footstools almost the same height as the seating surface that makes it ALOT more comfortable. Would love to have seen Sea Ray build in a double recliner on the starboard side.

Oh well - still very much like our boat!

Anyone look into options/price for installing on a 2007 or 2008 model?

Ok - so there are three other smaller filler pads that fill it out more but they are in the house and I didn't feel like getting them for the photos. Here is what you have:

Hey Bluebelly.....Have the same batteries on my bow thruster, and after checking the water level, they too were bone dry after 2 seasons of service. My bow thruster is still getting power, but not nearly as much thrust as they used to and after finally checking the water level, my guess is that is the issue. Will adding water take care of my issue, or are those batteries gone and need to be replaced?

Thanks for the pictures - looks great - nice install job.

Can you share who provided the product, who did the install and costs?

I hope this works out, attached pictures, I will post pictures of the bridge steps and starboard steps next posting. Had it professionally installed it took quite a few days for the preperation work approx 4 working days. You cannot see from photos but it has the same texture as teak and is easy to clean simply hose off.

Fitz, this looks great. Can you share details on: where you sourced the product, who did the install and ballpark costs?

Thanks.

Mike
