36 Sedan Bridge Owners

It is 38'4" LOA w/out the platform, the platform adds 2' so the total LOA from the tip of the pulpit to the end of the platform is actually 40'4" (the floating slip at my house is 40' and about 4" of the anchor hangs over the front of the dock when the platform is even with the opening).

Boughtabuoy, see above for your answer. I believe they are all the same size boats, just the 2009 & 2010 come stock with a extended swim platform. I guess Sea Ray couldn't agree on how to measure, as they keep changing the number.

Does anyone have cameras hooked up to their E120 chart plotter, I am looking at installing one in the salon and curious how people have routed the cables?

Thanks,

Take the panels off on the Port Side where the entertainment and breaker area is...that will get you a run up to the port side bridge area where the small removable plates and subwoofer are located....from the subwoofer you might be able to fish behind the small storage box to the helm if you are good with a fish tape, otherwise remove the small storage box and recaulk it. Most likely if you are patient it is quicker to fish around that storage area than it is to take it out.

I've thought about the same. I was wondering if you could find some sort of night vision camera for better visibility at night. I'm not sure of the feasibility of this, but some other applications might be nice also. Salon, ER, kids room, etc. I think the connection on the E120 is USB, is that correct?

You need to check the back of your E120 to see if the cable is installed from the factory this is the cable (Raymarine E55057):

I have an extra if you do not have one that I would be willing to sell you - just send me a PM and we can work something out.

My E120 came with cable for video (RCA type connectors) :smt024

Not sure about the connections on the e120, but I have run a boat with the Flir Navigator hooked up through a furuno display (navnet 3d) pretty slick setup at night. We used it extensively on a LONG trip back from Costa Rica. I will be adding this option to my boat when I can.

I was on my boat last night and looked at the added benefit for the added swim platform and I think it is a great add......I know with my Hurley davit system, it would be a better fit using the added platform........

Hey Wetpaint....
What are your "added benefits". I too am toying with the idea of adding that aftermarket platform, but am unsure about it. I already stick out of my 35' marina slip a bit, and with an extra couple feet, I may need to move to a 40' slip. Also, on the docks, the regular platform is level with most floating docks where the extended platform would actually be a bit lower than the docks.

benefits:

Hurley system would work much better with less of a height difference between platform and waterline.

By carrying the dink on the new platform, you would have added space on current platform to access storage and get on and off the boat.

Added space when the dink is off and just hanging out on platform

It would have no effect on stern thruster or jumping up on plane

Only negitive is 7-8k install

I would have to be sure I am keeping the boat for another year first......Wish list would be sat tv first though

I am aslo considering an extended swim platform for my 2008 36 db- I will go with factory option @ 8k because the aftermarket ones, like from swimplatforms.com , don't look as good. I heard froma very a reliable source that the reason that Searay added the swim platform for the 2009 and later models is that someone was injured very badly when they jumped off the back of their 36 db and got cut on either the stern thruster or the trim tabs. I talked to my dealer about approaching Searay to inquire if it actually happened and if they would put a swim platform on my boat for free for safety reasons and they said Searay declined. I looked at my boat and you could get hurt jumping off the back with out a swim platform

To all of the 36 sedan bridge owners - I have a 2008 36 sedan bridge and I find that the port and starboard sofas in the salom are very uncomfortable: They are hard and I tend to slide down and off of them. Does anyone else have the same issue with them and if so, what have you done to rectify the problem?

Agree...I have attached velcro to the couches and I keep about 5 pairs of shorts and shirts on the boat which also has velcro.....It works out just fine........

I actually find sitting at the dinette is very comfortable and i can use that like an ottoman.........Also when I sit at the dinette, i can see my kids playstation controller and i can steal his pitches on MLB

It must be cocktail hour in Boston; Can you be a little more serious and informative because I have talked to my dealer about the sofas and told him they are really not comfortable. I am trying to see if other owners have the same feeling

Yes.....the angle of the couch is not great.........i have a great seagrass ottomen for my feet that helps out and matches the boat perfect......this allows for a more comfortable position......i always sit at the dinnette.......not happy hour yet in boston, but very close...

Boat just arrived home. Was transported from NC to MN this weekend, needless to say they had to tear a lot of it down for the trip up north.

Same problem here. I found that if I pull the starboard side out a little, it's a little easier to sit on. Very slippery, in any case. I spend a lot of time at the dinette as well.
