Just wanted to let you all know about some fixes that were done to my boat.
The cushons on the couches were proped up with a wedge of wood to make the front higher. Not perfect but at least you dont slide off.
They had to re spray the bilge because the gelcoat was flaking off in big chunks.
Installed the extended platform, and added wait to fix the boat sitting bow down in the water.

I wanted to check on:
Does anyone have Gelcoat problems. I have so many cracks and yellowing due to air trapped in the surface?
Also The dinette table slopes down and no matter how many they send me they are all the same? I am on my third table.
Has anyone had problems with a puddle forming in the center of the original swim platform?
Does anyone have excessive draw on the batteries with switches off?

How much did the extended swim platform cost and did you have the searay dealer do it? Why did you have to add extra weight? What do you mean the dinette table slopes down?

My Life

Royal Flush - Sea Ray installed the extended swim platform at the Marine Max dealship. Seay Ray added the weight in the stern because we were bow forward. From what I understand because we have gas engines it is not enough weight. The dinette table in the salon when it is extended open it slant to one sign and we have to prop it up. We just wanted to know if anyone else is having the same problem.

My Life-How much did Marinemax charge you for the swim platform ? Also, re the table: there is a steel extension under the table that pulls out and extends out to give the table support- do you have that on yours? RF

Has anyone upgraded the TV in the salon? What size did you put in? Looking to replace stock TV and want to know how big I can go and still open the panel.

I would LOVE to. Looking forward to some opinions here. Maybe a 26"?

I upgraded my tv on my 2008 36 db and I had the dealer do it; I can still open the access panel. They put in a 26" samsung LCD... It makes a world of difference. When spring comes around, I am going to put the old TV either in the bridge attached to the arch or outside above the sliding glass door on the starboard side

I had the dealer is install my new TVs, went with a larger TV in the main cabin, they had to change the lock on the panel so all you do is pull on the TV and it opens up. No buttons to push to open the panel, it works great.

Royal Flush. We had alot of issues with the boat so sea ray made a deal with us and we just had to pay cost and no installation. As far as the table we have the metal extension but the table still needs to be proped up.

Thanks for the response-What kind of issues did (do)you have? It would be nice to know and be on the lookout for potential problems with my boat. Thanks !

Hello from Minnesota!

My Wife and I purchased a 2007 Sedan Bridge late September of last year and I've been following this board ever since. Lots of great information. I felt it was finally time to join.

Happy Boating!
Patrick

As long as you dont listen to anything I have to say, it is the best site around. Welcome. Do you have gas/diesel.....Any upgrades......

Hi Wet Paint, thanks for the welcome..Enjoyed reading your blog. I'll make sure to take everything you say with a grain of margarita salt. :smt001

It's a gas boat and I really haven't had any time to think about any upgrades. Living up here in the great white north, the boating season is shorter (hopefully that will change..see future post). I was able to take it out about 3-4 times in October before it had to be hauled out and stored. I also don't think there were any upgrades put in to it - everything seems pretty standard.

In all honesty, I am fairly new to boating. I owned an 18 ft. Sea Ray Bow Rider several years ago but it was only for 1 summer. So yes, what a huge step. I am all ears if you have any recommendations on upgrades that are "must haves" for this boat. I am also going to continue scouring this board to search for ideas. In the short term, I am just trying to take my time to learn the boat inside and out.

Thanks,
Patrick

Does anyone have experience with relocating their boat cross country?

I am currently considering relocating to the South Tampa Bay area from the Twin Cities and would need to have the boat transported. Are there any kind of marine moving companies out there that anyone could recommend? I am curious how much of a fortune this will cost.

Thanks.

I purchased a new 08 36 sedan bridge in Seattle in sept 09 and had it transported to Portland Oregon ( 175 miles). It cost me about $6000; The reason it was so expensive was that they had to take the top/arch off to go underneath overpasses . I know some of the 36 db's don't have arches ( because it is an option) so if you don't have one it may be cheaper. Also, do any of you who own a 36 db have problems getting FM and AM radio reception on your boats? I do and I was told there may be a problem with the radio antana ( SP?) set up on these boats
