Hey Popeye here is a picture of my charger see if you have any holes in this area and the electrical box there I think this is the standard mounting for these boats. How you other guys is this where yours is mounted?

No sign of a mounting in this area....

Possibility it didn't come with one. I guess you will need to buy one and find a place to mount it. See if there is any Romex in the engine compartment that dosen't go any where or goes to a box and that should be where you can pick up the power.

I don't think so because it just pushes in, no up and down. I am pretty sure I have a trailer switch on the dash and I have one on the Stern

I also have a trailer switch on the dash this one is just in front of and on the port side of the Helm. The button goes in and out. I never did get to the marina to ask about it.

Finally got the lower unit back on this weekend ,should of been done a while ago but I was fight immobilizing back pain, got it pretty much fixed now (my back that is). Now that I can bend over I have found out that the main bilge pump and the step down pump isn't working right. I also am ordering electric brakes to put on the trailer, to many big hills to get to the river to go with out brakes. It’s 93deg out to day and not in the water.:smt089

New to the site but long time boater. I have had a 1988 268 Sundancer for about 10 years now. Love this boat! Does anybody have a fix (other than baby oil) for the red strips. I buff and wax but only last a couple weeks before fading again. The baby oil works well but you have to keep re-applying it every day or two while out.

I'd like to know the best way to remove a stripe. I have a stripe, just above the rub rail, that is cracked and needs to be taken off. What's the best way to do this?
Believe it or not, Turtle Wax makes a product called "Ice" that is super easy to apply and looks great too.

You could try and pull it off. Or 3m makes a wheel that removes strips

Try a heat gun and a plastic scraper.

Does anyone have any idea where to get a new top mount control for Ms Windshift. I have tried a couple and now I'm looking at a Teleflex CH7642P. The one that originally came with the boat keeps throwing off the tilt switch, it is burned up.

Transom Seat

My 87 268 Sea Ray Weekender does not have a transom seat. I want to increase my seating area. If anyone here has built a sear for the back, can you post pics.
