2008 CSR Barnegat Bay Regatta and Gunkhole Event

Sunday? Morning?
I was unaware that Sundays had mornings. I thought the day just started at 1pm.

Learn something new everyday.

bridog - i've never over-nighted here but i dont see any problem with that - as a matter of fact, of the places mentioned for this event, this one is probably the best for overnighting. my wife refuses to spend the night on the hook ANYWHERE! she's convinced we'll break loose (the entire raft-up) and wake up the next morning somewhere near the coral sea.

My wife won't overnight on the hook either. No discussion, no compromise. That's it!

Besides, we go to Mass Sunday mornings.

Best regards,
Frank

Well. . .if you break loose near Pelican. . .I doubt the boats will move more than 10' before coming to rest on a shoal. Isn't this the part of the bay where you can walk halfway across without getting your ankles wet?

Ron,
I feel like our wifes have been in touch for some time  That was exactly what my wife always said. However, after chartering a sail yacht in BVI we had one night on the hook and it was fine. So, now I have better chance to sleep on the hook, especially with our new 320DA.

Alex.

1. you can pretty much get out and walk ANYWHERE on barnegat bay!
2. try telling that to my wife. i certainly have. i spent WEEKS and WEEKS on the hook over night when i was a kid cruising the LI sound and Hudson river (my dad was too cheap to tie up at a marina ) and we never once woke up in a different place. see frank's entry above. his wife and mine should have lunch sometime! IT JUST AINT HAPPENING IN THIS LIFETIME! :smt089

Silver Bay is much better...the only draw back is if the stupid jelly fish decide they they want to take up residence in Silver Bay...that it the one advantage of Tices!

Oh well, it's probably better no one else is staying. I have every intention of running my gas generator all night and don't want to kill you all. John, can we at least get a ride on the Whaler if we make it through the night? I'll treat for breakfast.

Oooh. I'm tellin' the generator nazis on you!

Busted, Brian

here we go again with the perils of CO asphyxiation and waking up dead. cant we just run a long extension cord from the water trampoline guy over to your boat just to be safe??

Didn't someone say that in raft-ups he plugs the gas boats into his diesel genny? Maybe he'll raft up with you, Brian.
