I don't have the #s with me at the moment; but I switched my fuel and oil filters to the NAPA counterparts a couple of boats back. They are available in just about every port and they deliver. AAA membership gives you 7% off at almost all their stores.
Alegria, thanks. This fitting keeps working loose. I have a Whale 15mm to replace it. Bought at West. Maybe the O-ring wore out on the SeaTech. If the Whale fails I'll go to the Guest or ???
What size hot water tube do I have on my 1997 330? The elbow just in front of the port engine - right at the bottom of the bulkhead - the hot water (red tube) keeps loosening. WEST carrys a Whale elbow for 15 mm tube. When I check at McMaster-Carr's site the largest they carry fits 14mm tube.
These boats came with one 50 amp AC connection and one 30 amp AC connection.
1) Why?
2) If I only were to connect one of the two would it be able to provide service to all of the boat's AC apparatus - that is assuming that I manage the amp draw and don't excede (-) 30 or...
Randy, thank you for your kind offer. I dock on the Root River just up stream from where it emptys into Lake Michigan. Downtown Racine, WI. We had a Silverton 402 aft with Crusader 502s. I got out of boating ----- I THOUGHT! That is until THE ADMIRAL said , nope! The good news is I got out at...
I have a '97 330 Sundancer and have lurked around here for about three years.
The Admiral has fallen in love with my neighbor's 1992 Sea Ray 440 Express Bridge with 3116 cats showing less than 500 hours. Because of the well presented knowledge here over the last several years I have...
I appreciate the answer as I am reading everything I can about 3116 and3126 Cats problems. The Admiral wants me to make an offer on a 1994 440 Express Bridge with 3116s and I have heard lots of horror stories. I wish the original poster, Tejo, would tell us how his problem was resolved and at...
I have a 330 SD. The Admiral has expressed an interest in a '92-'94 EB with 3116 Cats showing 500 hours. I spoke with an owner of a later model ('98-'99). He had two "knocks" on the boat. He wishes he had done a better job of surveying the engines as he is out $18,000. for one replacement. Ouch...
Shower drain is sloooow!
The switch and pump are good. When the pump runs the water leaves the box quickly. That leads me to believe there is fourteen years of hair and stuff in the hose between the shower drain and the sump box. What do I do?
A) Use a plunger and risk blowing the...
--- and if you are looking for more work while you are down there you might check your rudder packing. If you decide to repack them use only the GoreTex product (the one NOT sold by West) ---- and then there are the water pump impellers ----
Update. After going over every inch of wires, connections, solenoids, switches, etc., etc. I found a loose connection behind the dash. It is buried in a kind of multiple wire connector. I don't know what it's official name is. There are a couple of these multiple connectors back there. When I...
My 1997 330 sundancer is stone dead on the starboard direct current side. The toggle switch on the electric panel shows 14 volts on port and the port engine starter gets juice. The panel shows zero on the starboard side and that starter gets no juice. I won't be back to the boat 'til Friday. I...
C-wood, Very nice!!
DPM, You and I think the same way. I too had thought of the pipe insulation. My other thought is going straight to a mnftr. of extruded closed foam product. When I search the web I find lots of mnftrs. I didn't find anything that would fit in either in Granger or McMaster...
Doggone it! What is left of mine is pretty ugly. I'm too cheap to pop for the Taylor product. I've been keeping my eye out for a less expensive substitute.
