I've used 2 6 ft lines and keep one 15 ft one for special cases. Don't get small fenders ... It's not worth the damage by going cheap. I use 6.5 in by 22 in fenders. Enjoy that 220!!

I've had the trailer since it was new in 2005. I didn't have any excessive heating until late last season. I figured that repacking the bearings would take care of things but that has obviously not worked. Virginia only requires brakes on one axle.

I can push the ball coupler by hand and they are disc brakes on double axle trailer. The other axle is fine (no brakes on that axle). I bled the brakes to make sure that wasn't the issue. I'll try to lock it out as you suggest (I pull with Tahoe). Only now I have to find a lock out key...

thanks Dennis - I can quickly touch but not hold on to the hubs on the brake axle. The others are cool enough to handle. I've already repacked bearings and the brakes don't appear to drag much. The actuator would impact both brakes which is why I was thinking it might not be fully or quickly...

Has anyone replaced the surge brake actator on their trailer? I'm not sure how to do or the difficulty. I think it may be causing heat on both left and right hubs (roughly same temp). I'm running a 2005 Shorelandr.

How often should you replace the impeller? I've not done mine yet and it's been 7 years but only 200 hours on engine.

We have just started our 4th year with our Sea Ray 210 Sun Deck and couldn't be happier. I also looked at a Chapparal but the Sea Ray will not let you down. It easily takes two families with all the gear you can think of. Enjoy!!

I agree with nauydog, I discovered silcon like substance clogging my filter. I had to run it then clean screen several times before water ran entirely normal.

John, What kind/year is your trailer? I'm having trouble with my 2005 Shorelandr. I think it might require new calipers but do you need new hubs at same time?

Thanks Chuck1 - It's a 2005 Shorlandr Trailer. I had problem last year with brakes locking up. I bled the brakes and that cleared locking brakes but not the heat. When trailer is blocked up, the wheel spins pretty good (slight drag but I think it's to be expected with disc brakes). Thanks...

Ok, I've repacked the bearings, and replaced bearings, and made sure my disc brakes weren't dragging significantly ... why then are my bearing/hubs still hot. I've done the same work on the hub without brakes and had no problems. Help!

these are pretty nice set ups but I just used a west marine purchased holder and mounted mine to the bimini top ... and it hangs over the starboard outboard side of the boat (away from gas cover).

the sensor/pickup is on the leading edge of your outdrive. There is a small hole there that is probably clogged. Use a small drill bit to clear it out ... don't use drill, use drill bit by hand.
