We are looking at purchasing a new 08 210 Sundeck the dealer has on the lot. Pricing seems to be right on this model. We had been looking at a 230 Sundeck for the room but are having a tough time finding one in our area of Canada. The other boat we have narrowed it down to is the Chaparral Sunesta 224. With this special pricing on the Sea ray unit we are leaning that way even for the smaller size.

Any tips or helpful hints would be appreciated.

Thanks

We have the 240, but also have a large family and bought for the upper end of our entertainment expectations. Having done that, so far there has yet to be an occasion where we have had more than five on the boat, and the 210 would have been fine for us. We have been very pleased with Sea Ray and the entire SunDeck concept...however, my buddy bought a similarly equipped Sunesta and is similarly content.

Good luck!

The sea ray is 700lbs heavier with a 260hp. The chaparral has a 350 mag. Both have bravo III. I like the heavier weight but am concerned with the 260hp. What sort of top end should one expect out of the 210 under normal conditions and loading? The weather can be windy at times so we want a boat that isn't going to get knocked around on semi windy days.

It was pretty windy and choppy out yesterday and I am always pleased with how well my 220 handles. I too have a family of 5 and it seems to be just right. Even with a full load and towing 2 tubes. :smt101

Nice looking boat. Would love the 220 or 230 model if I could find. We are only a family of 4 but that extra room would be nice. Decision has to be made tomorrow so will post pictures if we go with the 210.

The 210 with a 5.0L MPI and B3 is more than adequate. It'll get the job done and then some - excellent hull design.

We have just started our 4th year with our Sea Ray 210 Sun Deck and couldn't be happier. I also looked at a Chapparal but the Sea Ray will not let you down. It easily takes two families with all the gear you can think of. Enjoy!!

That's a great endorsement right there. What I mean is, if Slap is happy with his 210, you'll be even happier with yours as the '08 is 2 generations newer of a hull design.

Well we took the plunge. Made the dealer an offer after seeing the boat and he phoned back and accepted. Pick up the boat on Friday.

Thanks to all who replied to original post. Will post some pics and info once she hits the water.
