Those had boats on them last night. 5Boats are missing from the marina and a whole bunch a couple blocks away ontop of cars on lawns in the street and so on. Inside the marina is a battle ground looks like somone filled the marina with water and played bumper boats as you can c. The big ship in one pic is grounded and the burnt building is tropix on nautical mile. Did anybody loose there boats homes cars anything? Hope not good luck with all your cleanups if anybody local needs help with anything anything at all just gimme a shout more than happy to help. http://s870.photobucket.com/albums/ab265/xplicitlnck/

Haven't been able to keep up with this post, as a Freeport resident I can attest that the devastation is just unbelievable. I had four feet of water in my garage, two feet on the first floor. As I was evacuating yesterday after seeing how high the first of the three hi-tide cycles was I opened my garage door to avoid the high water at the front door and saw the Freeport vol fire department fighting a fire a hundred yards from me, home eventually became a total loss (burned to the water line) after it restarted twice during the storm. Next door to Tropix was Fiore Bros fish dock, they also buned to the ground. One of my neighbors on Randall Bay woke this AM to find a complete floating dock with three boats tied to it in his back yard. Fortunately I hauled my boat out in Bellmore, a few miles east of me and she was still on her blocks this am. Excuse me for rambling but it's Been a very trying two days.Ok I just spent 2 hours loading pics to photo bucket from my phone. Pics taken from land are at my marina in freeport long island. Extremely genorouse of you. Thank you
Thanks, Shipmate!!
Carter the House is Fine as I listened to a couple of "Snipe" friends and bought a Gene!! The boat on the other hand has been bounced around but that's what we pay Insurance for!! Thanks for asking!!!!!!! Have you gotten "One Sweet Day" down South Yet??Marshall - I just hope your house and boat come out OK!
Guys sorry , catching up on the posts to see how everyone is doing. I have been in contact with Alex, he's fine johnathan you all know how he is an Ron his marinas destroyed but his boats ok and he has no power at home.
Thanks to all of you for your thoughts ,
Shaun, no more info on my boat but my old dock neighbor who lives near the marina says his 320 and prob most of the boats are destroyed or sunk . So I'm not expecting to find her sitting happily on her blocks when I finally get down there. As you may know I work for NYC so I've been here for two days , more importantly my family are safe. And the house Is fine. I have gotten attached to "Mirage" over this first season and I hope she's ok . Thanks Russ for your kind words. There's plenty of other guys out here doing what has to be done. I'll follow the thread when I can be safe guys.
