I have minimized the advertizing on the right, but it flashes on and off when changing pages. THAT IS ANNOYING!! That advertising banner on top could go anytime as well.
Yep it is doing it to me too.

When the other boating site upgraded to this new version of vBulletin
A lot of people had to switch to Firefox browser to get it to work sometimes vBulletin doesn't like IE.
I'm running Firefox with no problems at all.. Wow this site is fast !!. :smt038
Just trying to help. :smt001
That is pretty stupid since most of the world uses IE.
One thing I’ve noticed is that you don’t see quick links, new posts-24 hours, new posts-48,all the time, can this be changed?
Try going to:
http://clubsearay.com/forum.php
Then save it.
Not:
http://clubsearay.com/
I upgraded from IE7 to 8 and can now see the date and times on each post.
Click on FORUMS and you will now see these Quicklinks across the top of your screen. I am still trying to find the search window.
The upgrade is not possible for all users as other productivity software conflicts may come into play. I have updated my comments above. It should be backward compatible too IE7.
I've tried IE8 and Mozilla Firefox, the results are the same. When I click on saved links I just get "...you don't have permission to access this page...". What am I missing here?
I can't change url since it lands on a very different one compare to origin. The biggest concern is with 1000s of bookmarks that I have in my library are no longer work.
Any ideas?
They apparently changed the URL syntax. You need to edit your saved links and take out "forum/" from the URL and it will convert to the new syntax.
Here's an example for the official 280 thread:
OLD:
http://clubsearay.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10064
NEW:
http://clubsearay.com/showthread.php?t=10064
Hope that helps....
.
why can't you just create a new link? I got the same error. deleted the link button and created a new on and it works fine.
The issue of broken links in existing posts is a pretty big problem that I hope they fix....not only for us but for Jim too. Those broken links can screw up his search engine results. For example, when Google indexes CSR it will eventually disregard all of the threads with broken links. That means less traffic for CSR and it makes it harder for new people to find us.
