. Except for the handful of arrogant assholes .
That's not a personal attack it's a comparison using the term "like". Called a similie, you might have heard of it being college ejumicated and all. Nothing to get over. Just trying to keep the playing field level.
And I do like it here. Except for the handful of arrogant assholes that are worshipped on a daily basis, the majority of members are respectful and helpful. If you're going to have rules apply them to all. I think that's all Wingless is trying to say.
Would anyone ever take a bow rider with bow thrusters and a portable Honda generator to the Bahamas???
Just for the record FC3 got it once too...but that was just me overstepping my authority
I saw one at a dealers and asked why. The salesman said that some inexperienced boaters think they will need it in a "big boat".:smt043:lol::smt043:lol::smt043
Just to keep it on topic: Believe it or not you could get a bow thruster on the 270SD:huh: I don't remember seeing it as an options on the 290SD.

My boat has a thruster. I will tell you I love it for the following:
1. I didn't pay to have it installed....came with the boat.
2. It makes both arriving and leaving the dock a "stress free" situation. With a wife who is not as sold on the boating lifestyle as me, this is a big help. No more communicating "loudly" with the post docking "I'm sorry I got loud" thing. This is done using reason # 3 below.
3. The best reason for us is that it helps "hold" the boat in place while the lines are being cleated or uncleated. This allows my kids the perfect opportunity to help in the docking/leaving process.
I dock the boat. The wife gets off in a calm orderly fashion as the kids go to the bow and stern (life jackets on of course). Wife hands each a line while dad "maintains" position. The lines are set and the beers opened. The wife opens her book again and all is well. :smt038
With the kids helping, and having fun, they want to come back.....which helps with the whole wife thing.
I will say any/all subsequent boats of mine will have a thruster.
Hope this helps get this thread on back on track .

The CSR Forum Rules define acceptable and unacceptable conduct. That includes a prohibition against personal attacks. The site does have an infraction system, its has been used twice at this point. Ironically once on Four Suns and once on Wingless.
