What's your favorite Sea Ray?

Sure do like my 240SD, but the new that new 290SS sure looks sweet!

The best Sea Ray of all time is the 2002-2008 Sundancer 280. No other boat comes close. In my opinion, it is the finest example of boat perfection ever!

I really like my 97 280SS.

I like the looks of the 380DA, but honestly if I *had one*, I wouldn't know what to do with it! I would have to get a bigger house with a bigger dock and more water just for starters. . .

Al,

You are starting to frighten me...............when I had my '89 280DA, the 310/330 was my favorite, when I had the '90 310DA the 370 was my favorite, now that I have the '95 370DA the 450 is my favorite, I'm not fond of the windows in the V berth, other then then that, it is beautiful.........oh, and the arch is at the correct height.

John

You have good taste for boats ;-) Since I believe you got your 370 before I got mine, you should upgrade to a 450 before me...

But there is a significant difference between you and me...you have 2 Sea Rays.

I would have to say my favorite is the 52 Sedan Bridge, close second is the 480 Sedan. I still will always have a soft spot in my heart for a 97-00 500 Sundancer with 660 Cats though!

A 1998 370 DA with CATS is near perfect. I love my current boat, I no longer dream of a larger Sea Ray.

Couldn't agree with you more, one of my favorite Sea Ray's (and all the boat I really need) would be the spectacular 44DB, but the dreaming would have gone on.... the current Sea Ray keeps me off the archives at searay.com and endless searches on Yachtworld every night.

If ever, hopefully Sea Ray doesn't make a mid-60's Sedan Bridge for at least a decade.

My favorite now is my 280. Just got it in Oct. so I haven't been able to use it but a few times, nor have I been thinking about any other boats. I've always liked the 280 and will probably keep this one for a long time to come.

Dude that just soopky..... bought mine 10-15-07.. CAN'T WAIT TILL SRPING:smt038 I'll like mine better in a few months when it's paid off though

680- Just because it is the biggest SR ever made and BEAUTIFUL!
510DA-Deep hulled big looking boat!
500DA-Big old classic SR
460DA Hard top-Dad's dream boat and very nice looking (somewhat attainable)
400DA-Our present boat and love it
390DA-Old version that was just plain big boat and nice layout
350/370DA-Good sized, good looking older SR

List could go on and on especially when you a SR family for life!

Well, it's an oldie but a goodie, but my 1987 300 Sedan Bridge is my first boat and my current fave. It's an excellent boat for up here in the Pacific Northwest and until I win the lottery it will work just fine.

My dad had an '89 or maybe '90 390 widebody express with Cats. It was a great two-stateroom layout with that pocket wall that dropped down between the salon and the 2nd stateroom. Great back deck. Fast. Efficient. Just enough teak to look like a "real boat". Loved it.

Of course, I kinda like my current boat a little bit too...

Sport boat..240SD hands down the best searay makes. As far as cruisers I'm undecided. We just bought a 290DA and I am pleased with it. However we have not had it out for a season yet. We've only been on it about 6 times so far and for limited time. My wife asked me today if I think the 290 is big enough!? I'm afraid we may be moving up sooner than I had planned.

I love my 380 (atleast what I can tell by crawling around under the shrinkwrap) We haven't "actually" used it yet but I find myself browsing yachtworld for 420's and 440's already...

Fragmag - if you are looking at a 240, look at a 260 also. The big difference is that the 260 has a generator option. which is great in Florida. Air conditioning is a wonderful thing, and if your Admiral likes frozen drinks you can have a real blender instead of a 12V wannabe.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I'm in the middle of moving and changing jobs, so it might be a while. But looking is half the fun I guess.

Well... for the boating I do, my favorite is the 260 (496 B3). If I could afford bigger, I'd be quite happy with the 340.
