Maybe it's the boat you currently own. Maybe it's your dream boat you can't yet afford. Or maybe it's one of the Sea Ray "classics". Let's hear what you like and why you like it.

In the sport boat segment, my favorite of all time has to be 240 Sundeck. Nice lines and extremely versatile. I still miss mine.

In the Cruiser line up there are just so many that I like I don't know where to start. So for now I'll pick the 340DA as one of my all time favorites.

Right now for the cruiser's I have to say the 370. It is a very well executed boat. If money wasn't an option I would have a 48! I love the lines and cabin layout. As far as the sport boats go I have to agree that the 240 is the best. It just looks right!

I think the 320DA and 340DA (current models) are the sexiest looking boats out there (hence me trying to get one!). The Sedan bridge models are also sooooooo nice and luxurious. I can see myself in one of those in several years from now.

I currently love my 310DA, but like Mike, I'm starting to feel 5 foot itis and in a couple of years will be looking at the 360 Sedan bridge...

My favorite now is my 280. Just got it in Oct. so I haven't been able to use it but a few times, nor have I been thinking about any other boats. I've always liked the 280 and will probably keep this one for a long time to come.

I think the 240 DA is a great looking boat. There is a used 2001 240 DA with 174 hours selling for $31K. I am secretly looking into this. I haven't broke the news to the wife yet.

630 Sundancer, baby.

With 12V-92 DDEC's. Yeah, the Cats are bigger, but ya gotta love the feel of a the DDEC controls, when you throw that huge, perfectly-weighted shift lever into reverse, the CA-CHUNK tells you that something BIG is going to happen. Then the Arnesons slap the water like a 2,000 beavers on steriods and send water shooting up 7' through the slotted swim platfrom while the engines growl (and smoke a little - they ARE Detroits).

The boat moves NOW (not where you want necessarily, but you're gonna look cool either way, and people can run and swim faster than they know).

I don't really want one, I just want a friend to get one and keep it close by and give me the keys.

Hahaha Sounds like you are talking about a new girlfriend.........

We haven't gone out too many times but I'm not thinking of other chicks. I think I'll be with this one for a long time.:smt043

Couldn't resist

BTW Dreamboat is absolutely the 48 Dancer. Great looking, and maybe not out of the realm of a possibility many years from now.

Since the 330DA circa 1992, that boat, now the 340DA has been the one. It still has the Sport boat lines I like and is the "DreamBoat".

Two years ago Mo and I went for a ride on a 420DA with twin Cummins. Now that was awesome, but I haven't reset the bar yet

The 260 that I have.

But, the boat that I want is the 370EC with Cats...

Fragmag - if you are looking at a 240, look at a 260 also. The big difference is that the 260 has a generator option. which is great in Florida. Air conditioning is a wonderful thing, and if your Admiral likes frozen drinks you can have a real blender instead of a 12V wannabe.

My favorite Sea Ray is the one I don't have to pay for.

My second favorite is Gary's. (edit) with cats.

My favorite SR's changes over time....When I had my 1998 270, the 330 was my favorite. I was going thru Web sites searchig and looking for information on the 330 DA. I then got closer by getting a 1991 310, reallly nice boat. Then the 370 became my favorite SR and I was looking for information on it. I finally got a 1995 370 DA and it is better than I expected, but I am now often looking for info on the 450 DA since if I have to make a move in size I want it to be significant, but it is not for now ($$$). Future will tell what could be my next favorite SR.

370 wide body express with a hardtop. One of the best designs ever to come out of a SR factory. Had they made it in 2004 I would have given it serious consideration.

The 185SP was a fine lake and day boat. Great for watersports but not very comfortable in any serious chop.

The 280DA is a great balance of performance, economy, and comfort (as long as there aren't too many on board for the night). It is perhaps the greatest value IMO.

However, our current boat - I still do not understand why SR discontinued the Express Bridges - is the BEST. It gives us three separate staterooms (each with their own door), full two heads, four separate socializing areas (cabin, cockpit, bridge and bow), and the twin Cummins provide acceptable performance and economy (OK, I'm still making myself fully believe that).

What do you have now?

What do you have now?

32 Tiara Open which is essentially a high end version of the 37 SR wide body. When a friend of mine comes to our house for dinner, seeing the two boats side by side is pretty amazing. The layouts are identical; hulls are very similar even down to the keel; the SR is a little bit wider; helm seating is quite different. The overall look, however is the same. The 37 is the only version I've ever seen SR make that has tradtional, classic lines.

89-91 420 Sundancer. Big beam, great layout and not too much to manage. And....some are available for under $100k. Important when you are contemplating retirement.

Al,

You are starting to frighten me...............when I had my '89 280DA, the 310/330 was my favorite, when I had the '90 310DA the 370 was my favorite, now that I have the '95 370DA the 450 is my favorite, I'm not fond of the windows in the V berth, other then then that, it is beautiful.........oh, and the arch is at the correct height.

A 1998 370 DA with CATS is near perfect. I love my current boat, I no longer dream of a larger Sea Ray.

For me, it would be the new 47 Sedan Bridge or the 48 SD. Both are really nice boats, well designed, powered and executed. If money is a factor, I think I would go with a 2006 340.

The 340 is just a nice, all purpose type boat with more room for extended stays. It has what we love about the 280, just more of it.
