What gets your undies in a bundle?

I've been marking my anchor line lately. The first weekend, I used an Empty Capt Morgan bottle tied off where my anchor line reaches about 4 of 5 feet below the water. The next week I used an orange life vest. Our friend has used a ball with a thong wrapped tightly around it (size - 2 hands). [ ] (Picture hands held in front, palms out, thumbs extended and touching eachother at the tips. Index, middle and 4th fingers rolled down, pinkies extended up. Girl's bottom fits inside the span between the pinkies.)
 
Tubers.
Powerturns.
People who have no clue on how to tow a skier or wakeboarder.


If you tube, STAY OUT OF THE CALM WATER if your just going to drive in circles and make rollers.

Skiers,Boarders,Tubers. When the rider falls down. Pull back the throttle and idle back to the rider. DONT PUT THE HAMMER DOWN AND FLY BACK TO THEM!!!!! Its f***** everyone. Sends rollers everywhere, wastes gas and is pointless.


If your pulling a skier or boarder DRIVE IN A STRAIGHT LINE AND TURN BACK WHERE YOU CAME FROM. DONT DRIVE AROUND ALL OVER THE PLACES., It wrecks the water for everyone, including your rider.

I guess they forgot what a VHF is? Hmm, lets pass-by close enough so they get a big fat wake, that should be fun! Oh, and while we're at it, let's see if there is anyone on the boat that we know!
 
today i had the distinction of having to STOP and actually REVERSE engines to give way to a stupid sailboat that was tacking through a narrow no-wake channel that connects the ICW to our river. let's set the stage...

this channel is probably 100' wide and runs north/south, and if you leave this channel you are in 1' of water. the wind was blowing 15 knots straight out of the south, ragbagger heading south, i'm heading north. sunday around noon, gorgeous day, EVERYONE was out. we all know snailbloats cannot said directly into the wind but this dumba$$ had an outboard motor (OFF and tilted up). so rather than power through in a straight line, he comes about and heads diagonally into a collision course with me. i actually i saw the whole thing coming and predicted his audacity. i was only moving about 5 knots but to avoid a direct (and i mean direct) hit, i had to drop into neutral and then reverse to stop my momentum. i even had to let the boat travel backwards about 10 feet. calm as could be, he waved to me ("thanks.").

whatever.
 
People on the dock watching you dock the boat by yourself with a steady 20 knot wind gusting to 30 from your port side!

That's OK people just stand there and watch... don't bother to lend a hand :smt013

I'm in no hurry. Last weekend I had a sailboat tack right in front of me. I came to a stop and let them cross my bow and what do you know... Topless girls on board. I waved, they waved back. Life is good.

When I'm on a boat I try to be as calm as possible and not let small stuff bug me. However, there're always times when this doesn't work.

1. Clewless jetskiers and small boaters running 50' (in the anchored area) or less from me and somethimes even making circles as they observe what's up on my deck. The same goes for those that pull a tube. I'd love to memorize the face and the vessel to give them MY wake when they're anchored. I bet they would learn real fast.

2. Crew not properly flushing the head by gently lifting the pedal, which dosn't allow the valve to seal completelly making the "sssssssss" sound and keeping the vacuuflush pump running.

3. Clewless boaters trying to anchor too close in the windy conditions.

4. Fishermen right in the middle of very narrow channel.

5. Boater ignoring "No Wake" zones.

Lobster pots (I guess a close relative to crab pots). We just got back from a trip through Gardiners Bay off LIS and Fishers Island Sound - It was like an obstacle course trying to spot the bouys and avoid them.

mean, hatefull, rude people on the dock!!!! Who don't know how to enjoy life with out making others miserable. Who think they own the whole dock and are the ones to set the rules....their rules.

Let me get comfy this could take a minute.

We had some friends pull up to use another friends empty slip (with his permission) This horrible rude awful lowlife scummy miserable woman. Had the nerve to come over to our friends that had pulled into the slip and ask him "Do you own that slip?" He said "no" but didn't have time to tell her that it was owned by a very good friend of his and that he had permission to be there. She then proceded to tell him that "If you do not own that slip then you have no right to be here, and you had better go right now." He was so embarressed, he then tried to explain to her that he had permission. But she would have none of it, it turned into a very very ugly nasty fight between her, me and another one of my friends that owns a slip on that dock. Needless to say, we don't own a slip on that dock and she said absolutely nothing to us. We were staying in the someone else's slip with permission. UGGGG!!!! We were actually going to buy that slip from our friend after staying on this dock because it's a nice dock. However!!!! THERE IS WAY TOO MUCH DRAMA!!!!!!! There are three different couples on that dock that do not like kids, do not like music playing (even at a resonable level) they complain about everything. And they talk about each other behind the others back. It's Crazy!!! And I am so not paying 25K for bull**** on the weekends. So that makes me mad, because I liked the dock very much but I guess not enough to be put back in highschool.

They even call the dock builder and complain and the poor man doesn't even own any slips there any longer, they are all sold.

So now you know my story!!! LOL full of drama and anger.

Ahhh...see this is where I and most others seem to split on what to do...

I would purposely get a slip there, along with my friends, and blast them out with music, drinking and my kids who would be happy to have water balloon fights.
 
3-4 water fleas at the ramp when I wanna drop dream weaver in the water.......One of em always has trouble geting started. They are the worst!
