What gets your undies in a bundle?

How about being boarded for a vessel safety

get a sticker at the beginning of the season and that'll never happen (unless you do something to deserve it).

This weekend I was moving a boat and this thread came to mind. Why? Because the moron that was on the boat before thought it would be great to tie up all the extra line on the fenders, So I had to get through about 12 knots of twisted line to get the fenders off! A half hitch people, a half hitch and that's it! That same person had also wrapped all the extra dock line around the cleats. That was fun too!

- beautiful woman at the marina in great bathing suits and my wife right next to me (not a time to forget to wear my sunglasses)
- folks chatting on the dock in chairs and wont move out of your way when you are coming down with a cart full of stuff.
- fishermen in the way of me docking my boat at my marina (clueless).
- crabpots in the middle of the channel

mean, hatefull, rude people on the dock!!!! Who don't know how to enjoy life with out making others miserable. Who think they own the whole dock and are the ones to set the rules....their rules.

Oh, yeah.

Or the ones who don't want to wait their turn at the launch ramp/gas dock/pump out.

And they always seem to want to get in my face about me saying something about waiting their turn. Why would you bother confronting someone in this day and age?

Nothing has ever gotten physical yet. But if it ever does, there will be a surprise: all five of us (including our teenagers) are just 9 months away from getting out blackbelts in Tae Kwon Do. I can just see it now: a five person family smackdown.

We've been harassed in the middle of the night by drunk fisherman... Robbed of our straw hats and shoes at a public dock in the middle of the night...

It has just gotten that bad with people's bad behavior and attitudes.

Wasn't boating supposed to be relaxing?

I now carry a Remington 870 on board when we are out in the boonies.

The term PC , hell it seems has gotten so that you can not give anyone a straight answer without them either ignoring you or become unglued about some feelings crapola.

Wow, awesome that you're all getting your Tae Kwon Do blackbelts at the same time! (I'm working towards my second degree - just need to take the test at this point). That would be great to watch! It's amazing how fast, flexible and powerful one can get in this sport with a little practice! Not sure if you've ever seen this Tae Kwon Do demo video ... http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2838543192940808512

Everyone knows the rule:

If you cant tie a knot, tie a lot.

The thing that gets my "undies in a bundle" is when I see kids standing on the deck of a moving boat, especially with no life jackets. Saw it last weekend....the kid must have been 8 years old or so, was standing on the deck with no life jacket, waving at all of us on shore. The captain (I'm guessing his dad) should be strung up for that one. All it takes is one slip and the kid is potentially the victim of twin propellers!

Along those same lines, I saw something that really disgusted me on Saturday. There was a boat full of mid 20's drunk guys coming out of a no wake zone next to us. One guy purposely fell off the side of the boat while it was moving and they all laughed. We watched as they spun around to get him then he hung on the side of the boat while they continued crusing along. It was an outboard powered tri-hull. What a bunch of a$$'s. :smt009

Yea, 20's year olds are usually known for their maturity:grin:

spyder crapp :smt021 on my boat from being parked in my slip.

Spoken like a true slipped boater. Spider Crap some thing only a slipped boater would understand.:lol: I would say 99.9% of the people had never even given a second thought until they slipped their 1st boat.

Closing up the boat for the weekend, coming back the next weekend only to find out your puppy left a little present in the aft cabin the weekend before!:smt009

Before I bought a boat I had no idea that spiders even crapped.
