What allot of rain will do

I am so glad someone else can see right through this guy... I'm still sceptical if he has ever owned a boat, or "Tug" as he likes to call them.

Zorba, I guess you NEVER saw all the pics of us having on my boat then ??.

sceptical ?? you meant skeptical didn't you.

Here you go, kids. Have at it!

Oh I sure did see you post same pictures over and over and over with a link to the old Bayliner forum. Lets not forget your awesome Cobra outdrives that you never serviced. I really like it when you try to validate your stories by saying you know the guy involved, Fred, Bill, Jimmy, Sam, Earl, Steve and Joe.

It's very clear why you got kicked off the Bayliner forum. You contribute zero, stir the pot for no reason, and insult people thinking that you are some sort of funny guy. And lets not forget you use of smileys. I also love waiting an hour to load a thread because I have to wait for 58 smiley faces to load, but that is probably my fault because my computer is too old and my internet speed sucks. I personally dont care if you do or don't have a boat, either way you don't have a clue.

Thanks for the spelling patrol... Try reading your post it makes no sense.

We've saved a few boats from sinking in their slips and have pumped out quite a few that were floating by flotation foam only! I've never had a owner flip out on me for saving his boat but we (members) own the boat club and don't want oil & gas effecting other members boats in their slips. We don't have a salvage company on our river and the sinking owner could be responsible for cleanup costs to all the other boats. An oil ring/stain on my hull will be cleaned off by someone other than me. I think it's a different situation when it happens on personal property. Calling the owner or next door neighbor is the best you can do if you do not have a personal relationship (friends) with the boat owner. Some boat owners would prefer their insurance company to deal with the sinking issue, Mike.

My thoughts exactly!! DAMN

Man this forum is going down hill fast......jeez.

A friend almost lost his boat because water leaked in through a loose fitting. Some one noticed and called the fire department. They have pumps and his boat was saved. His boat was in an area they could get to.
Does any one know if the Coast Guard will help if your boat is sinking?

I just hate that type of attitude. This man just makes a comment, and Odyssey acts like he just insulted his wife.. Then does not drop the subject..
Guess we are all a bit sensitive since boat season is over for most on this thread.. Mine has been over for a few motnhs due to bad manifolds and risers..

It's kind of like the movie "The Shining". Cold days cause most of you to go stir crazy!
I gave up boating for deer hunting for awhile...
late January and February will get me though

On the Coast Guard question, I suspect that is pretty much left up to the local station. Generally, they will aid if there are lives in danger or the vessel is at risk. They also aid when the sinking boat is in near a waterway or channel and may pose a hazard to navigation. However, if your boat is sinking behind your house, you are on your own. But even then it is complicated......if there is fuel leaking and an environmental risk, that changes the CG help/no help decision process. Their station training needs also impacts it since, around here, they sometimes look for training opportunities. I think the go or no-go decision threshold is probably pretty low based on the radio traffic I hear. When a boater reports he is taking on water, he's going to get the 3rd degree. If he is at risk, they dispatch a small boat (25 ft outboard or a 40 ft cutter) and then continue trying to gather information. The boater may be asked if he wants a commercial towing company (SeaTow or Boat/US) to be dispatched, or the CG may ask nearby boaters to assist. Keep in mind that the CG's first priority is saving lives. Once they know the sinking vessel's occupants are accounted for, they may try to pump out the boat with a crash pump, but they do not do any salvage work on the sinking boat.

The boating season has nothing to do with it.............

May I suggest that you re-read post #4 where Summer Fun accused Oddessy of watching the boat sink and doing nothing to help out...........while knowing nothing about the situation and knowing none of the facts. I'm not sure, but that might be a more egregious forum transgression than insulting my wife. She can take care of herself, but I am about as non-confrontational as you can be on this forum and I would probably have had to respond to that one.

My take on this is .....
You watched that boat sink and did nothing to help the owner out !!.

Yep I said it. :smt001

Its just my opinion that's all.
Then in post 7 I said this.^^^^

In his first post he said nothing about helping the guy out !!!

Then when I called him out on it then he said he did help out.

SO WHERE WAS I WRONG ?????. :smt017 THE FIRST POST WAS MISLEADING !!!.

END OF STORY.

You would make a great politician. You conveniently forgot to add this from post number 7.

"Yep, By your times you sat there doing nothing but take pics. :wow:"

And we know it's your words becasue you had a smiley at the end. Like I said Waye you contribute nothing but crap.

Yep I said it. :smt001

One of the things that CSR adds to our lives is that you learn something new every day. For example, I just learned that there is an ignore button. I haven't needed any help ignoring those that have made made it to "my list" thus far, but it is nice to know it exists.
