You earlier said that people are lying and heavily money-biased. So why would you trust politicians to filter your medical advice? If you found out you had cancer, would you want your local politician to interpret the results of the tests and tell you the best treatment?

My medical advice should come from the doctors I select to consult with and I should make my own decisions.

The prescriptions I take should be between myself and my doctor.


Restrictions of peoples liberties and freedoms should be done by the political process that we have in the United States and adjudicated by the court system that we have in place to be certain that the executive and legislative branches have not overstepped their bounds in restricting the people.

571,000 deaths worldwide.
7.58 MILLION RECOVERIES.

US:
3.2 Million cases
137,xxx deaths (35,000 in NY)
42 Million tests.

If you pull out Cuomo’s NY stats, the statistics would be nil.

This hoax grows w every industry jumping on the panic bandwagon that’s aligned w the global agenda ie big tech, media, NFL, NBA tc.

For you panic stricken try researching the number of COVID-19 recoveries compared to deaths and hospital admissions.

There should be crickets after seeing the numbers.

My grandfather and grandmother immigrated from communist Yugoslavia in the 1920's. For their entire lives they had fear of authority. Scared of police for no reason. Distrust of politicians. I never understood why they could not see that they did not have to have that fear in Canada. That fear was rational. I think you are picking a stupid thing to be your "line in the sand" about personal freedoms and attacks on the constitution. It will prolong the COVID outbreak. It might give it time to mutate as well. It could very well get much worse. That chart floating above that shows other much more serious past pandemics that killed hundreds of millions of people is touted as showing why this one is not a big deal. Ok, maybe it will look that way in the end. But there very well may be another virus in future that will be much more like the plague or Spanish flu. The precedents with COVID (where freedom trumps medical directives) would be much more of a major problem. We are lucky that this one is like it is. When the next one comes, all bets are off, but the precedent will be set.

Up here in Canada we don't have mask "laws", but most people wear them. Common sense is prevailing and people are, for the most part, doing whatever they can do to slow/stop the spread so we can get on with life.

Anyway, you are talking like I am an idiot and I am doing the same to you. Neither is true. Its just different perspectives. Neither of us "needs to be educated". So I will stop, with one final comment to set the record straight on my view of the US. You in the US and we in Canada are extremely lucky to be born into freedom and democracy where the will of the people (majority) determines how we live our lives. You are very right to defend your Constitution and fundamental principles that it is based on. I truly love Canada and I also love the US. I love being Canadian but if I had to pick a second place to live it would be the US. I have more blood relatives in the US than in Canada. They were pioneers on this continent (literally covered wagons across both countries on my mother's side - from England). I just want this virus to go away as fast as possible.

You condemn US media for bias and/or inaccuracy in reporting, and then use Forbes and ABC News to support your point. Duh, they are either biased, or they are not. And not just when they say something you like.

Now more to the point, it only takes one person to infect ten others. So 86% is hardly good news.

So where have you heard these numbers being widely reported? Nada, nowhere. Maybe one 15 second clip. CNN certainly isn't telling us this. The would rather mask shame. They didn't like the result so the buried them on the interweb. And 80% is actually very good news. When has the US be 80% of anything.

Well, Tim Walz in MN has the 80% record of deaths that are seniors, mostly from assisted living facilities, but we have to shut down the whole State yeah see. Oh, and the House Senate voted to eliminate Walz's emergency powers and bring it to congress, again, but it will fail in the Democrat controlled Senate House, and he will continue bumbling about with other peoples livelihoods .

Thanks for posting. I think it's encouraging and part of an ongoing process. Even with mask mandates, it seems to take some time. The Washington Post actually highlighted a Gallup version of the poll in a daily email I get from them:

I did notice something of a partisan divide in the details of each poll with respect to usage and attitude about masking with Republicans less favorable towards masks than Democrats. I think that's going to change as GOP Governors, Senators and now the President are promoting masking. Overall a good trend I hope will continue.
 
For all the links posted, not one has been a peer reviewed repeatable study of C-19, its transmission, and the efficacy of masks, of any kind, in non sterile public environments that I have seen.

You know, real world stuff...
