I think it is pretty clear that foreign powers try to influence the elections of other countries all the time. Its just a different world these days with technology and social media. The closer a democratic country is to 50/50 (electorally speaking) the more likely foreign powers will see opportunities to tip the balance to whatever party suits that country's purpose. I have zero doubt there is propaganda influencing via social media again. And public shooting down of the mainstream media plays right into that by legitimizing non-traditional "media". If a 42 year old pedophile can pretend to be a 12 year old boy, why can't a Chinese government appear as concerned American citizens?

I know a lot of people on here called the Russian influencing a "hoax". I think the overt actual collusion was not proven, but there was plenty of evidence of attempts by Russia to influence the 2016 election. And it will happen again. And China is highly doubtful to support Trump. There did not seem to be concern with China in 2016. But that Houston consulate was shut down I believe for good reason, and not just trade wars. And who knows how Putin feels at this point. Is he disgruntled because he tried to help get Trump elected and now feels betrayed? Does he support Biden and the Democrats more? Will he mail in a few million votes? I think that US citizens should be outraged with alleged foreign election meddling by propaganda or otherwise. Saying it you are not concerned because it was alleged to be in support of your party and was a "hoax" is about as short-sighted as it gets. This time the influence might not be in your favor.

I disagree on China. They want Trump re-elected, they have signed trade deals with the EU Brazil and many other countries including Venezuela. The Chinese think long term and with the US having tariffs or threatening tariffs on countries China has walked right in an made deals undercutting the US position. Forbes has written article as other financial papers on why China wants Trump re-elected. I don't think Russia cares as long as they can cast uncertainty over the election in the minds of the voters.

If you understood what actually happened you would realize it was a "hoax." It turns out Russia's budget for Facebook adds was less than most local car dealers. Their "influence" was minor at best and mainly just to drum up discord. The studies have shown that not one vote was changed. I didn't realize you had access to Russia's budget figures for Facebook ads. Facebook has no way of knowing all of the accounts and whether they are legitimate or not. And I have not seen any study that shows that "not one vote was changed". Maybe they are firing up the BLM movement by posting support on social media.

The bigger issue is Bill Clinton? How many years ago was that? No, the big issue is today - this election. Like I said before, I am being party agnostic in saying you should be worried about any foreign interference, and particularly the social media propaganda that you have no idea is coming from foreign powers.

Why are positive results increasing? Some due to increased testing yes but not all.

You can’t avoid catching this virus completely. How many people do you know that have never ever caught a cold or flu?

I have a question for the maskers....if masks work, then why when the kids go back to school do they have to wear masks AND be separated by 6 feet? And on the school bus they have to wear a mask AND only one to a seat and staggered? And now many cities are requiring masks regardless of social distancing. If masks work we should be able to stand shoulder to shoulder. So which is it?

Mainstream media is owned by conglomerates that all are trying to gain favor with the Chinese to gain access to their markets. The Chinese have a media influence group in the states just to shape new coverage.

Question, which does more damage, the Chinese controlling the US media and what the people think or a politician?

I believe both are equally dangerous to a Constitutional Republic based on freedom...

Many infections are spread in the home by people sheltering in place. Then why not require a mask to be worn in the home?

I hope we have a snap election here in Canada so that the virus will disappear on election day just as in the States.
