Swapped all incandescent bulbs with blue led! Phone doesn't let me rotate images! View attachment 133470 View attachment 133471View attachment 133471 View attachment 133470 View attachment 133472
The new lights look great! The pictures show up sideways on CSR unless you edit them before posting. I usually just crop each picture a little. It’s a pain in the ass/quirk of the site. ;)

My friend Matt's 450 at the 2017 Pacific Air Show. We are hoping to attend the show this year held annually in Huntington Beach, CA.

Thank you Art but its our list! When you have a chance, please also post your internal Sea Ray number, just below your HIN. With that number we will know where your boat was in the production line for the 2003 model year.

Jim, We're back in Florida and for OUR list I was hull number 531. I took a picture but it inverts when I try to insert; but worse than that it shows dirty my hull.

Thank you Art! I added the hull number to the first page. Just remember the quirk here on CSR. Pictures will come up wonky unless you edit them first.

Looks great Kevin! Are those your new white window covers? How do you like them? How do they attach?

They are the new ones, they are great. You can see out from inside. They use the same snaps that were already there, you just lined them up and put the color matched snaps on that they came with. The only downfall, they still get growth on them here in our climate, but they clean up easier since they are pretty much plastic.

With the end of the season and/or the economy as the cause, we are seeing more boats being listed. This is a 1999 named "SuSu". It seems a little rough in places, priced at 170K. The HIN on this boat (SERP4477E999) shows it was built in May of 1999, the end of the model year with a model year 2000 450 also built in May of 1999 (SERP4504E900). This could be the 54th 450 built in 1999, which appears to be the largest production year in the run from 1998 to 2004.

That is a "floormat special" RIB boat. :D

I actually had a guy contact me off of FB to chat a out this boat. He asked me to keep it quiet as he thought it was a smokin' deal.

It also has a really crazy fuel bladder set up plumbed into the fuel panel under the steps. Apparently, the owner passed and he had used it for long offshore trips (fuel bladder). I saw the ER pics and at the time the turbos, charge air pipes to the aftercooler and the after cooler were brown. Not a great sign, think they tried to use it as a sport fish.

Went to go get fuel last night and I had been chasing water in the bilge behind my fresh water tanks. I looked under the stairs and I guess I had just not been catching it at the right time with the A/C raw water pump on, but found it...ughh. This could have been a disaster if it had let go completely.

And the culprit. Now I have some corrosion control to do and need to go to Ace for a replacement

Jim, Thanks for the edit! I have found that if I use my phone, even with edit it doesn't fix the issue! I can do it if I have my laptop (very seldom on the boat). I was able to update using same bulb style in blue LED. Simple and inexpensive solution and can be found at auto parts store (autozone, o'rielly). ~Dan

That was a huge find Kevin!

We are back in Avalon for the weekend. I was able to finally install the new cockpit shade from Boatswain’s Locker. I must say it fits great but it sure was tight! I needed another set of hands to close the zippers. I ended up using a zip tie on the metal pull of the zipper at the same time pushing the back of it. Also an FYI. The canvas piece that covers the top bulkhead and the back of the flybridge couch is not included. My old piece I think will work and zip in to the new piece, however the old zipper was seized so it is at my local upholstery shop for repair.

That boat is not listed on YachtWorld as a 450 Express Bridge, but just as an “Express” so it was hard to find.

Per my sales broker 2 yrs ago June, calling to touch base, the first 450EB I viewed back then is unsaleable. 2001, 3sr, Volvo engines, still at Navy base marina, Pensacola. Boat wouldn't pass survey due to water entrapment stbd side hull. Boat is actually listing. Makes me look for all exterior caulk compromises, thru hulls, SS rails, rub rail, bilge vents. Salon and bilge is dry but no evidence doesn't mean hull core can't have water entrapment from these sources.

Could buy it at a fire sale price and get Dry Boat to get it back it shape. P-Cola is right down the road from me.
