I guess the consumption of power for heating the batteries is a net zero. OOOOOooooooopsie!
 
Lol. Local news just interviewed a guy that says to pre-heat your car while it is still plugged in to the charger then turn the heat off while you are driving...lol

Back in the 80's I had a 1970 Ford Torino. The heater core failed in the middle of winter and being young and dumb and dirt poor, I had fires in an old coffee can on the passenger floor. The carpet was gone from patching the floor anyway. Hey it worked Maybe they can bring this back. The only thing I can say is I am old now.

No problem there. We rode bikes without helmets....We had a Ford Pinto that basically didn't have a floor on the driver's side. We always figured if we got too cold, we could stop short for no reason and ger hit from behind. That would warm things up pretty quickly.

Filler neck and forward tank shield ect. Just as I remember it. The tank was hitting the diff. Let me know if the link doesn't work.

I was around 14 when the recall happened. I forgot about the longer fuel fill and the plexiglass forward of the tank as well.
 
I barely remember the Pinto fiasco but remember one of my mothers high school friends was killed in one when it was rear ended
 
I don't feel bad for those dopes at all.....about time the practicality of driving those vacuum cleaners finally came into question. Duh!
 
I am making parts right now for a NA car companies new battery. They are little clips that pop off when you get in an accident to deactivate the battery so it doesn’t blow up or catch fire.
They said we need prototypes but we are not paying for fixturing…. So I’m thinking prototypes low volume I can make a simple fixture and blend it into the piece price. The order comes in it’s for 20,000pcs …. I said wtf?…. I was pretty high on the piece price…. They said yes protos….. ok and away I went…. They ended up ordering 20k more…. I’m like guys this is silly let me get a proper fixture you are spending stupid money….. they came back two weeks ago and said we need another 100,000….. I was like what the hell?….. either the gov is throwing money at this shit or this company is really stupid…. Either way EV’s are my friend right now
