The future of EVs? Maybe not so bad?

I think the EV push has definitely slowed down they are backing down on all the mandates. If I was a betting man I would invest in hybrid tech which is making a comeback. The Prius has been around for 25 years. That's a long run
I would buy a hybrid, not a Prius though. A Prius requires a man bun and murse. And you have to be angry all the time because you're driving a Prius. ;)

Plus they only go slow in the left lane. I agree with you was only using as an example of probably the most popular one. Lol

This is what I’m referring to, foxnews is clearly playing a boogeyman tactic here. This is a step back from what was in place before, and when we get closer they’ll step back again. They have always done this.
Yawn

Nothing to see here….. move along …. Keep scrolling

The new regulations allow for alternative solutions To the problem they want to address. hybrids, hydrogen etc The article, as is usual for msm, only gives partial information. go to the source and stop relying on someone else to feed you half the information.

also. 50% is less than 100%. Which is what you guys were all complaining about before.

Read the second paragraph, ‘tard, and try again.

First off. I’m neither a liberal or a retard.

I did read it. I also read the regulation. I suggest you do the same. Then you can see how you’re being manipulated.

Finalized today by Sleepy.

Wanna change your statement?

Nah, figured you wouldn’t.
Can you say "rolling blackouts"? But here's the problem with these types of mandates, as the car companies are finding out, 50% of car buyers don't want EVs. So what are the manufacturers going to do if the EVs just sit on their lots? Then there's the unintended consequence: People will keep their ICE cars longer and longer creating higher emissions (not that those matter except to those who worship at the climate alter) than if they replaced them with lower emission new ICE cars. But what to I know? I believed these same people when they told me we were headed to another ice age.

Biden finalizes crackdown on gas cars, forcing more than half of new car sales to be electric by 2030

'This regulation will make new gas-powered vehicles unavailable or prohibitively expensive for most Americans,' lead industry groups say

That’s what I was attempting to point jmauld to, but that is too plain of English for him to comprehend.

In other words, like all the other ‘tards, knows what’s right without knowing what he’s talking about.

The regulation absolutely is intended to drive down sales of gas cars. I’m not arguing that Tim. The regulation does not require EVs though. It allows for other tech to replace them. exactly what you guys have been asking for.

I just want good old ICE cars. I will grudgingly go hybrid.

From article I linked:

“While the regulations target gas-powered vehicles, they are explicitly designed to push wider nationwide adoption of electric vehicles (EV) and, according to officials, are expected to ensure nearly 70% of all new car sales are zero-emissions within a few years.”

Maybe can twist that to “other tech”, but the climate ‘tards aren’t ever gonna give up the push for electric.

Not to mention that with exception of fuel cell or hydrogen ICE there is no such thing as zero emissions.

Now find that in the regulation.

I’m not really interested in hybrids. Too complicated. Give me an EV or a simple ICE. This in between just seems like overly complicated garbage.

That’s up to you.
I’m not sure why you have such an attitude here I’m trying to be respectful towards you.
Read this. It’s a fairly politically unbiased sourced.

the new rules ease off the previous proposals to appease the automakers. I suspect as we get closer we will see even more easing off of these regulations.
