The future of EVs? Maybe not so bad?

What does "Long Range" mean?
The model 3 comes in three different variants. Standard range which gives about 260 miles per a charge, long range which gives 315 miles per a charge and then the performance model, which is currently mia.

the standard range model is rwd with a single motor in the back. The long range is AWD with a motor in the back and one in the front.

Got it. Thanks!

I’ve been mostly staying Away of the nonsensical meme posts. But both of these materials should be recycled these days.

You missed the point….. what’s ok today isn’t ok tomorrow….. they can’t recycle windmills period or batteries for that matter economically…… not even tires. I wonder why oil is so easy to recycle and create a synthetic version which is also 100% recyclable…… but no …. Oil needs to go to save the planet

I built a big woodshed in '81. I used untreated cedar posts from down by the creek. Each time I changed oil I'd pour it around a different post, been 43yrs, they aren't rotten yet. Oil is good stuff, mix a little with kerosene or gas, dob it on your neck, keeps the mosquitos away. Got chapped hands...motor oil will fix it right up, new oil of course.
;)

I don’t know about windmills, but batteries can be and are recycled at this point. And I’m not advocating for getting rid of Oil. clearly if that were a concern for me, I’d sink my Sundancer.

i do think think the windmill argument is a bit of a funny argument For anyone on this site. Our boats are made of similar material, and can’t be recycled. But none of us really give a shit about that either.

These arguments have just become more political nonsense that we have to continuously put up with in our daily lives. probably why this thread was put in the holding tank. Can’t have a legitimate discussion about EVs without including these BS memes and politics.

But I don’t believe anyone has ever claimed our boats are the planets savior.

EV’s being the end all be all is STRICTLY politics, and the ‘tards pushing “climate change” know it won’t do a damn thing to change a natural phenomenon that has happened before and will happen again without any help from mankind.

But that doesn’t mean that every conversation about EVs has to be turned into a political pissing match.

NO ONE here cares about whether or not EVs are going to save the world. So why do this with every conversation?

Because I’m sick and tired of the ‘tards shoving this downs our throats.

All indications are that the government is already folding on their EV initiatives.

For your own mental health I would suggest turning off mainstream media for a bit.

You'll find that the real boogeyman is the one feeding you news on a daily basis.

Numbnuts Sleepy is doubling down on it.

I think the EV push has definitely slowed down they are backing down on all the mandates. If I was a betting man I would invest in hybrid tech which is making a comeback. The Prius has been around for 25 years. That's a long run

don’t think so.

This looks like easing up to me, which is what most sane people have been saying all along.

of course msm will put their own spin to this and make it look like the Boogeyman from both sides.
Spin it how you like.

Sleepy is still pushing, and pushing hard.

I was in a Lexus dealer last week looking to trade. My guy took me around the show room that was full of EV’s. He said the younger people are coming in wanting an EV and won’t even consider combustion…. He said wait a year you will be a relic with your V8. It’s coming whether we like it or not our brain washed kids with climate syndrome will make sure of it

My boy wanted an EV until I handed him the keys to a Mazda RX-8 which is just about the biggest environmental disaster you can imagine in a car.
