The future of EVs? Maybe not so bad?

I find that hard to believe my buddy drives his Tesla (actually it drives him) from Fla to NJ without a hiccup it even brings him to the charging station all while watching movies on their iPad I’m not saying the stations are everywhere or that we will be overwhelmed soon with EV’s and not enough stations but you could definitely drive across the country. We charge at home 99% of the time but road trips are not a big deal with 300 miles of range.
I would think that driving up and down the east coast might be different than driving across the country east to west.

From Sarasota to New Orlean 711 miles does add just over 1 hour for charging stops but out of pocket cost is $41 to get there. “Mike drop” as you can see the stops are around 12 mins which is a bathroom stop or refueling stop anyway

Does this chart say your charging up every 80 or so miles?

Yes I’m sure there’s more of a resistance with the mountainess terrain east to west but it’s absolutely doable now with super chargers across the country.

If you are an Audi fan....Here is a little video of my little brother (57 yo baby bro) playing around after install of new exhaust on his highly modified Audi S4 B5 (V6 bi-turbo). That was 7 years ago. Its much more aggressive now. I think he is over 800hp at this stage. You should hear it at full howl. Long live the ICE, even if the daily drivers are EVs in a few years.

Nice car, I’m thinking of having a stage 1 tune installed that will bring my car to 510 HP single turbo. I still like the luxury of the car also so I wouldn’t change anything estheticly

The cars alarm goes off if you try to remove the cord. There is also a lock which prevents it from being unplugged as well
just what we want. More alarms going off that no one responds to at 3:00 in the morning.

How do I take my family of 7 out to dinner in one of these things?
Obviously we don’t take this to dinner unless it’s just me and the wife, otherwise we take her model Y 5 passenger like most cars today, when it was us and the kids we took the Expedition.

Personal attacks are not necessary. I enjoy driving, but I’m also not afraid of technology. Full autopilot on every car would open up a world of possibilities that we don’t currently have available. For example, the ability to form a train on the highway and travel at 130mph. Yes, count me in on that.
Until a "professional" truck driver throws his 80,000# rig in front of the "train" doing 61.5 MPH because the truck in front of him is going 61 MPH and the genius wants to get ahead of the "train" rolling up behind him. Then the 130 MPH "train" becomes an expensive pile of dead people.

What’s a truck driver?

But unlike truck drivers, there will still be pornography in 20 years.

What happens when your self driving car gets the blue screen of death?

We’ve had our Tesla for 1-1/2 yrs so far not 1 glitch, unlike EVERY gas handmade cars we’ve had in the past, something brings us back to the “dealer mechanics” hahahahaha sorry, clear my throat um um our car updates itself over WiFI while we sleep, it’s never seen a “Mechanic” hahaha there I go again. If everyone was scared of technology and the future we wouldn’t be where we are today.
