Keith,

If I remember right, Pyrojodge (aka Jason) went through Marine Max for the black rubber you are looking for.

Hey Keith, I replaced mine in May. You can still order the rubber from Taylor made, go on their web site and page around. They have a lot of picture cross sections and if you still cannot ID it call them. I called and talked with one of the best phone reps I've experienced and within a few days I had exactly what I needed.

Mike, what windows did you get it for? My salon side windows are SHOT!

I ordered the black windshield trim from TaylorMade. The part number was 8338920. Here is the reply from the rep I spoke to in July of 09.

This comes in 12 foot sections it is $2.80 a foot plus shipping and a
> $25 handling fee. We have pretty much all the parts available except
> the windshield and the aluminum trim. What other parts do you need?

As stated before, they are very helpful if you call them.

Try American Marine part #717 as I remember they are much cheaper.

Hi Ron, On the sides I did not replace but all the upper helm rubber was replaced. I will PM next week with the P? I have as all part numbers are on the boat for the rubber trim (in the maintence files). Taylor supplyed most windows in the 80's and early ninties so you can check the Taylor made web site and the profiles are listed. If you cannot find it, I called them and they still carried the window moulding rubber for the 89 Sea Rays.

WHY PM it? we all want to know!!

How True, I will do that but now its going to be later this week as we came home yesterday from the boat ( and I left all the library on the boat in our hasty exit). 100 plus degrees and major power outages all over forced us to go check the house situation.

Thanks Mike. I'll keep an eye out for it.

Got the weatherstripping. Next issue. I have the 9gal San-x holding tank. I'm retro fit w a vacuflush but still have the tank. I had an issue this weekend and had to take the tank sensor off and saw the floats were broken. Any ideas on a replacement or a fix?

Kieth... contact Dometic. They have the floats and the whole float switch if need be... sorry no part numbers but they are usually very helpful...

Greetings All, hope everyone had a good 4th of July!

Concerning the neutral safety switch on an 89 340 Sundancer, does anybody know where this beast is located and is there any adjustment possible
My starboard engine is now getting very picky about the position of the shift lever. It now wants just the slightest pressure toward reverse to let the
starter engage.

Sure thing.

Have you verified that the shift cable is properly adjusted? If you can move it in reverse to start it, possibly the cable is adjusted too tight toward forward causing the lever not to be centered.

Greetings Wilee,

Tomorrow morning, I'll start digging into this. Most likely, the first thing I'll do is throw an ohmmeter across the neutral safety switch, move the shifter through its range and see if the switch is starting to go intermittent or possibly cable stretch or if its just miss adjusted.

Just an update on the occasional non-cranking issue for my starboard engine....

The neutral safety switch ohmed out just fine and the shift lever had a decent range for 'being' in neutral (similar to the port side). So back to square 1

Last night, I had the key in the start position and ... nothing. so I grabbed the ignition breaker/switch - 'threw' it down and then back up while holding the key in the start position and she started cranking

I'll be pulling that panel off and checking connections tonight......

Next on the agenda is keeping the admiral happy. Her biggest gripe about the boat is the companionway hatch.
The rollers are gone and the thing is a real pain to open and close. Any other DA owners had this fight yet?
