So, lets talk weather....

I use to love winter, rented a place in the NY Adirondacks and snowmobiled every weekend. Drove up on Friday came home on Sunday, was a great weekend. Moved three years ago and now winter is like a big cold thorn in the side ... And now we're about to get another 10" of snow. But it's supposed to be 50 on Thursday, can't make this stuff up.
 
I've been walking my dog every morning between 0715 and 0800, depends on when he wakes up. Temps were as low as the teens but now have crept up into the low 30's. Temps in the 40's will be very welcome. As will the sunny skies.
 
I know you in the south are getting some cool weather this AM, so here is something for you to feel better about. I have to head up to our cottage on Georgian Bay this AM to take some measurements and put some safety fence around a water table test hole we had dug (We are getting ready to tear down and rebuild next fall). This is all outside, and this is what I will be working in. The lake should look cool though. If its not windy it will look like its boiling. I'll take some pics. (added a picture looking down the lake - temp was minus 15F with no wind chill)

I guess we have a blizzard thing headed toward Oklahoma, wind is blowing 30-40 out of the north, snow is supposed to hit tonight, with 8-10” and 30 mph winds. I have a pretty good jag of fire wood, could be a fun couple of days

I’ve been following my weather guy for almost 10 years. He is really good. The two pictures you see are from Bam. The second one is three hours later than the first. It is confirming what my weather guy thru out there

I got a solid 8” in Indy…that’s it ….my kids a couple miles up the road got less than half that

JC, I don't want to make you feel too bad, but this morning when I walked the dog at 7:30 it was about 37* and is supposed to hit the 60's by this afternoon. Oh, and there isn't a bit of wind.

It was in the 30's on the morning dog walk and we hit 53° this afternoon. A winter storm warning just came out. It'll be a mess tomorrow. And for sure, I'm not going to be a happy dog walker in the morning. :mad:

Winter Storm Warning sucks. Driving from Farmington Hills, MI to Holland, MI tomorrow and it should be a fun ride. I would try to reschedule, but I am chasing that all mighty dollar :)
