A fair amount has melted already, but they are expecting another 12” this weekend in Minot. They had zero snow on the ground before this.

21° and a fresh inch of snow this morning. If I believe the weatherman, this is the last of below freezing Temps.

Boat is supposed to launch Monday. Glad the heater worked good. Rain, snow or shine...I am on the boat next week.
 
All I can say is I am getting sick of the wind this year. Now the wind always blows to some extent in Ok, but man this year it is relentless, seems like 30+ every stinking day. Went to grandaughter #2 last trackmeet of the year on tuesday, wind out of the south 45 all day. Brutal

I was out testing the boat mechanical repairs yesterday on Lake St Clair. Small craft warnings were posted... It was windy but the waves weren't bad on Anchor Bay.

While you have the right to rant, do you not see the irony in what you said as a lead in )(irony not the right word, for those that care, but I am making a point with out using the more inflammatory proper word).
Climate change is real. What is causing it may be debatable for sure, but it is real. It is “global warming” on an overall average basis, but it is going to change continually. I agree that humans can’t stop it. We didn’t cause the ice age, and we are only part of the reason for what is happening now.

The ozone layer was depleted drastically from use of CFCs for years and humans were able to reverse that from global banning of their use. Maybe they are right about carbon dioxide, maybe they are wrong. Time will tell.

One thing I can say is that the world is a much cleaner place since pollution controls came into place, particularly automobile. I know you are old enough to remember the way downtown NYC was with car exhaust fumes in the 60s and 70s.
 
I'm flying into Chicago on Monday driving up to WI to start up the old gal. The shop says it'll be in the high 40's low 50's.
Wondering if I should postpone? Damn "global warming" is causing these low temps!:cool:
