So, lets talk weather....

100+ in Ga. Last week it was high 90s at the marina, but a good breeze. Gonna head back down Tuesday I think. Taking the Proline out today to Lake Oconee for a shakedown run after I changed t-stats, temp and O2 sensors, waterpump ,lower unit service, external separator, high pressure fuel filter, low pressure fuel filter, internal water separator, and anodes....currently 70 and breezy.

Was a cold weekend up on Georgian Bay. Sunny but cold. It was 48 degrees on Friday morning and only got up 58 all day. Really windy too, with winds about 20mph with gusts to 40. Saturday was a little bit better, but not much. Boat didn't leave the dock, but I did get my new back canvas installed yesterday. Not bad to do that on a cooler day. Warmer weather coming this next week finally.

You are right! Crazy hot last week. Cold front passed us Friday night, lower humidity and breezy yesterday. This morning temps in the low 60s, breezy, and feels wonderful. Short lived though as we are forecasted to be back near 100 mid-week. Water temp is already in the mid 80s.

We have had great fall weather in the greater Toronto area. This week has been great. Highs around 70 and low wind. Temps drop tomorrow for a couple of days. I golfed Tuesday and there was a frost delay in the AM that backed things up. My 12:10 tee off was delayed 30 min, but it was about 65 degrees and sunny by mid day. 14d long range looks a bit cooler than normal.

Boat comes out on Oct 18th and I will probably winterize the water systems and clean things out on the 12th so I can do it on a nice day. Fall rains kick in towards the end of the month.

Easier said than done, unfortunately.
12/85 we had a real nice HUGE 2yo new house in northeast Ohio. Outside shoveling. Cold snowy night. Wind blowing, threw a shovel full went right down my shirt. Dropped the mic/shovel, walked in house. Told wife “I am not living rest of my life like this”. By 12/26/85 i I headed to the Chesapeake where we done a lot of winter vacations. Had job on a week. Wife stayed behind. In a month she had sold house. Brought kids. 5 months later we bought our first SeaRay, never looked back.
Not that difficult. We wanted to stay within a 6 hour drive of our family. Could we go further south, ya, but wife just went for a week for family last weekend.
So this works for us. My kids have done the Easter egg hunt at White House. Seen NYC, liberty bell, all of Plymouth Rock, Boston, Jamestown, Williamsburg. Sat in the bullpen when Senate in session, Ate in the Congress cafeteria. Stuff they would have never done had we stayed In Ohio. So ya, no regrets. None.
DC may be the most difficult city to navigate. It was built that way to confuse invading armies after got burned in 1812. My kids can rock thru it like their back yard.
No regrets. They thank me every day for bringing them here.

Most of my adult life was in Florida. Left Michigan and was never coming back. Never say never... When MIL is no longer able to live with us and has to get 24 hour care, I suspect we'll become snowbirds to a certain extent. I'm not moving again.... My definition of snowbird would be spending 2-3 months in the Caymans not the Florida winter gridlock. Trust me, I lived through it.

Yep - mid 60s here as well this weekend. It’ll allow me to move some of the leaves today. Afterward, I may crack a beer and enjoy my handiwork outside. However, I am surprised these didn’t taste bad the other day.
