Ha ha, I just came in from mowing the first time this season. More to even everything out than the fact it was really needed. Putting down pre-emergent crabgrass /dandelion killing fertilizer Monday. Then in a couple of weeks I'll start using 19-19-19

We have had a wild spring start, Last week we had the first 90 degree day and of course the news was wall to wall hand wringing abut climate change and drought and this week we have a string of rain days, much appreciated and needed rain days. Funny to listen to the weather bobble heads tell us that we are close to breaking a temp record for the day, "last time we had temps this hot on this day was 1980 something" Really? Was the climate changing back then too or was it just the earth doing it's thing on a very predictable cycle?

Well @Blueone, We just count our blessings and take one day at a time. As screwed up as Ca is, as a place to live, it is hard to beat in terms of weather and amenities. We use what ever we can to mitigate the taxes and just try not to pay attention to the news. Ignorance is bliss.

Well, at least it’s partly sunny this morning. The way it was coming down yesterday I thought it would be worse. Not too bad.
Crazy weather, the high temp today will officially be colder than it was on Christmas. Happy Easter to all!

We took a trip across the state to the Seattle area to spend Easter with the kids and grand kids. Going across Snoqualmie Pass in the Cascade Mtns this time of year can be real dicey. We had sunny skies and temps in the 50's both coming and going.

Had a great time with the family; 7 kids, 6 grand kids, Easter egg hunt, darn near perfect. One of the best parts of the weekend was watching SNL roast Brandon for all the crap he's doing (or not doing!).

~600 miles, averaged 25.6 mpg, everything went very well.

We finally are going to get a break from the cold, nasty, rainy weather. This week it's going to get up into the low 70's with only light winds and a few clouds.

Keep in mind that as a weatherman you can be wrong 90% of the time and still keep your job. Go figure.

We are supposed to be averaging 60° this week here in the metro Detroit area. My Weather Channel app has a 14 day extended forecast.... 11 of the next 14 days will be below average. This coming weekend will be the only days above average. That's good for the worker bees, I guess.

Ok, this pissing me off. Weekend near 80, get waxing done. But the following week high in mid 50s. And that means winds, river blow out, low tides, Are we ever going to see spring?
