So let's hear about and see your cars.

So many people discount the "GM Stepchildren" when thinking about performance cars. One of the hotter rides I ever owned was Buick's final call for the rear-wheel drive Regal, an '87 Grand National with the turbo'd 231 CI V6. Ran low 13's right out of the box. No, I can't find any pictures of it, but it looked like this:

We traded it in on a used conversion van so the wife could more easily load and unload the kids! Stupid kids...

Well, sure, but it was a slick ride in its day. That Stage 1 had torque like nobody's business!

If you want to talk land yacht, check out the other Buick my dad had at one point:

Ours was refrigerator white rather than the nasty green seen here, but you get the idea. Affectionately known as "Moby Dick, the Great White Whale". It even came with the bow wake trim line that curled over the front wheel and on to the rear bumper. We went as far as considering hanging a couple of lifesavers from the doors and going for the Friday cruise downtown. Bench seats, so it easily seated six, while the trunk could sleep eight!
Big trunks.... We could sneak extra friends into the drive-in theater using the trunk.

Love it!! When they first came out, they were the best factory sleeper of all time. Crazy wicked fast for their time. Could reliably beat corvettes, Porsches, and Ferraris.

These videos are addicting:

How many of you burned/singed your eye brows on a carb, doing that..I did.

My GF got a car in her grandmothers will. It had been sitting in a barn, literally, that had no garage doors. To this day there are still shells/nuts inside the hood we cannot find and hear them roll every time we open the hood.

First, yes, as youngsters we'd practically run a car on starter fluid.

Second, what was the inherited car?

My dad purchased a new Snaab, I think a 91 or 92, 2 door. He came from a Mercedes. It spent more time in the shop then on the road, he disposed of it after a couple of years I think.

Yours looks pretty nice :)

So my new idea as of 130am on Saturday is to buy an 03-05 BMW M3 convertible. They seem reasonably priced but have this nagging issue of "the big three" items that need to be addressed. That just made shopping for this car a bit more challenging. Of course there is a really nice one in CA. Not that I haven't had a car, or boat, shipped to me but why can't it be right around the corner??

Well, that's pretty ironic, since I'm planning on bringing my '06 to sell at Barrett Jackson next January. Rod bearings done, VANOS done, subframe is in pristine condition. 99k miles, shadowline trim, 6-spd manual, spare tire kit, wind deflector.

Bought it from a friend in Houston 2 years ago, and I just don't drive it as much as I'd like.

Let me know if you're interested. I'll be in the $27k range on it.

It’s a great car! I bought a really clean 05 in 2010 with about 38k miles on it.
Having driven both SMG and manual gearbox models before hand, I went with a manual model and recommend you do the same. As mention previously, be aware of the Vanos and subframe issues that the E46’s have. I had it for 3-years before selling it for more $ when I stepped up to a Porsche 911 4S.

Oh nice, Carbon Black. Just bought an 05 6-spd coupe a few weeks ago. One of the other reasons I'm selling the 'vert. Seems a bit silly to have both.
