Selling my 290 Sundancer!

Good luck in your quest to cure your "footitis?"

I would love a 370!..........unfortunately not in the budget.
I have a broker saying he has a prospective buyer. He wants 10% of sale price. What is the going rate for boat brokers?

Freshwaterboats.com has a 5% commision. Very good to work with. Ask for Rock, he will get it sold.

Have the broker register his clients name with you and sign an agreement that you will only sell the boat to that client for 10%. If he comes through with a good price and quick sale, he earned his money. By doing this you are making sure he is not blowing smoke up your arse and the broker isn't a "weekend warrior" broker trying to knock down the price on the boat that his buddy is buying.

I see a lot of this going on with brokers saying they have a buyer in order to get the boat listed, if they come through its great.... if not you're stuck.

Thanks everyone. The contract names the buyer and is only for that buyer. I obviously will not be as flexible on price, but if he can get it done, I have no problem with him making some money on the deal.

How is it that you have a possible deal in the middle of winter in Ohio and I havent received even a look at mine? Damn it!! I want a new boat too before our CSR rendevouz. Best of luck Keep us informed quint.

I have been very busy out showing boats, 3 deals this week were signed.

I actually was showing a customer a 320 this past weekend, they ended up making a similar deal on a 2 year older 38 Regal. Price and condition are driving EVERYTHING but take notice that people are ending up paying more for boats and closer to asking price from my recent experience. I have all but a few days in the next 3 weeks mostly spoken for by clients.

Those of you who have followed my over 3500 posts on CSR know this boat is very well maintained.

If you are looking for a turn key 290, with all options, for little money, this is it. I have put my heart and soul into this boat (and wallet) but footitis
has got a grip on me bad.

No doubt. Good luck with the sale. Don't "give it away"! I'll bet its worth every penny you are asking.

Does anyone have a sample boat purchase contract you could email me? (I will PM you my email address).

I got one...thanks.

Mine is for sale too. I've had quite a few calls but only one serious look in 2 months. Broker says it's been unusually slow but should open up after the Miami show. We'll see.....good luck.

Well the admiral is in love with Carver Aft Cabins. I am also looking hard at mid '90s 330DAs.

I had a broker tell me once that the wives bought bridge boats. Mine wanted out of the "hole". I would have been happy with a 50' Sundancer but, still a hole. They like windows and light. But look at the bright side....you'll still be boating. I love Sea Rays, too, but budget and needs took me away from Sea Ray, along with what the wife wanted. And after 4 years in a 'Dancer she wants windows. But like I said....I'm still boating.

At least mine didn't want a motorhome.

I love your boat. Probably will be my next move. Especially if I can ever get to a coast. Good luck! What's next?

Dave, I think you are in a good position right now. Busiest off season I have ever encountered.
