Selling my 290 Sundancer!

Enjoy your new toy!

Quint,
Congrats on your Silverton 330. There are 2 of them on my dock at Prairie Harbor and I went aboard a 2003 which in about 12 slips down from mine. Great layout with a lot of room with the only issue being visibility to stern into the slip so you might find bow in a little easier. Even though it was about the same size overall as my old 320 it had more interior room, a door on the master suite and a separate stand up shower which typically come with bigger boats. I also thought it was one of the better looking bridge boats under 40' in my marina. Good luck with the sea trial.

Thanks to all (even Pietro...I guess). Sea trial was last Tuesday (a week ago) and now The seller's wife is making the purchase almost unbearable. She cost us a beautiful Memorial weekend on the boat (it was locked in my slip).
This whole process has been a large pain in the ass.

Offer the seller an extra $200 to put the wife on a one way flight to OKC or EWR in order to get her out of your hair for a while.

I know - he could use Ninja Airlines

Actually, I’ve got a better idea: Ninja Airlines. Right? In the middle of the night, a ninja sneaks into your room and blow-darts you, saran-wraps you, sticks a routing tag onto you, packs your suitcase for you, ships you to the other side, takes you to your hotel, slips you onto the covers, unpacks your suitcase, stands on the windows of your hotel, blow-darts you with the antidote, slips silently out the window while you stretch your arms, yawn and go: “I’ve woken up in Hong Kong”. That… THAT would be a perfectly safe airline.

I'm sorry Dave...I didn't want to be unkind, just share your happiness as a new boat owner. Your new toy is not my kind of boat, that's all!

Pietro it's all good! I was kidding you.

Okay guys, gonna close this thread out with a pic from today. We finally closed on the boat and spent the weekend on it. Boy do I have a lot to learn about driving twin inboards!

Congrats Quint to you and the family. I know it's been a long process for you. Kickback crack a beer and enjoy her now!

Dave,

As you know I chose to "play for another team" as well. (No, no I'm not gay) and I have been pretty happy with my decision. I still love Sea Rays but like your wife, mine wanted windows. And what the hell, I'm still boating. We have very close friends that went from a 26' Sundancer to a 35 Silverton Motoryacht. The one they call the Sidewalk Series. The space is fantastic and very livable. Yes, the looks aren't for everyone but you did not buy it for everyone, you guys bought it for you.

You will easily get used to twin inboards and wonder why you didn't get a boat with them sooner. And for me, I love operating from the flybridge. The visibility is fantastic and I feel pretty cool up there when I go by other boats.

Now you have a boat your wife really likes and will want to spend more time on....and you are still boating.

For what its worth, I think you made a great choice based on what you said you were looking for.

Shawn
