Kickin' Back

My two boys (13 & 11) are both into soccer. Usually when we can't make to the lake, it is because one of them has a game. So the youngest decided that we could only "kick back on the boat" when they weren't "kickin'" - it stuck.

I grew up in the generation where the boat was named after the Mrs. As a kid, we had a boat named "Patti Mae" named after my mom. So it was a natural choice to go with "Mrs. Robinson", since, well our last name is Robinson.

Her previous name was "Wavefin", some kind of broker software....

I'm in the HVAC business and wanted to name it "No Sweat", well the wifey didn't like that so I fiqured I better suck up if I wanted the boat..............LOL

1998 330DA 2 slips from us is named "No Sweat". Owners last name is "Sweat".

Actually the name is an offshoot of our careers as I am in electrical utilities and my wife is an RN. The dual meaning name is growing on me though. :grin:

I had just bought my boat and my sister called to tell me my parents cottage ,where I had spent all my summers,had sold....its funny cuz I knew it was for sale and it really didnt phase me as both parents had passed and my siblings and myself had all moved close to the area ..but when she told me it sold ,it hit me like a ton of bricks ,..so in short,to honor my parents and a lifetime of memories I named it after the cottage

new boat name LA BUENA VIDA (the good life) we saw it in Mexico a couple of years ago and knew that was the name of our next boat. She is now a reality....although we haven't actually done the ceremony and renamed her yet. But she is documented so I guess we should get that done soon.
