Peyton Manning IS the league MVP!

I heard it's called "Suck for Luck"

That's the catch phrase. Most either think Polian a genius or a lucky b@st@rd. I think him genius based on his record. They are saying all the right things but they sure do suck. At the end of the first half NO wasn't even really trying hard to score again, they were not even in a hurry up, and they scored anyway. We are in a tight fight with Miami for luck. MM

Bill Polian's an EVIL genius, Bill P.jpg after seeing Miami lose earlier in the day, he figured he better let NO put up big number in case of a tie breaker with Miami.

If Miami and the Colts were to play each other the last game of the year, the ratings would be HUGE, both team 0-15, both teams trying to lose so they could get the 1st pick... NFL Film would show that game every year on one of their special blooper shows,Benny Hill's theme playing in the background.... ....

If this does not prove once and for all Peyton Manning is the best ever and is still the MVP what would. MVP is always subjective but I doubt a team has ever flamed out this bad with the loss of it's best player. He was/is so good he makes the defense better. They never gave up 62 points in my recollection. MM :smt089 :smt100

I knew he was a great quarterback but I missed which position he played on defense to stop the other team from scoring. :smt017

Most games Manning has played in the Colts score first and often putting pressure on the opposing offence to match the Colts. Once the opponent is down two scores and with the threat of Manning to run up the score they must pass to try to catch up. The Colts defence was (for better or, now, worse) built to play the pass with a lead, and on pressuring the other team, not a grinding running game. I will grant you the defence has huge holes in it, but if you read local press they have had for years. So Manning does have a big effect on the defence Indy plays. MM

they need to bring back Tom Moore as the OC
and let Paynter play the no huddle as long as he can

...and chant "Fire Caldwell"

Why? This isn't his doing in my opinion. You blame him? Polian built the team, provided the players and set the scheme they really have to run because of the personel decisions. We have had no consistancy in the offensive line, have lost several starters and now start players that were watching football on TV when the season started. I just haven't seen anything I could fire Caldwell for, so far, if I was owner. MM

I don't think that Caldwell is a NFL caliber coach. The team's been in a free fall since he took over. The only reason they won so many games over the last two years is due to Peyton Manning's play. He makes zero adjustments to what the opponet is doing, halftime or otherwise. He consistantly doesn't prepare his team to be on the field, referenced by their flat play. How many times have they gone into halftime with some momentum, only to come out flat?? Too many.

He doesn't have situational awareness of the game around him, calling inappropriate time outs, failing to challenge controversial calls, but challenging the obvious ones. His staff has done nothing to improve the play of special teams, nor defense. (sorry couldn't resist) I still can see the utter disbelief on Manning's face when caldwell called time out last year against the Jet's in the closing minutes, giving them one more play before having to attempt a field goal.

I think there is more than enough evidence that the guy is a bone head who needs to hit the road.

Well thought out. MM

Polian is not blameless of course...but he has a considerably longer and better track record than caldwell, so I'm willing to give him the benefit of doubt more so than caldwell.

Polian said in an interview a few years ago when asked about their continued draft success that drafting is a 50-50 proposition, the Colts had been about 60% and it wouldn't always work like it had. Seems we are paying the piper back in our latest picks. I still think most fans around the country would swap their last 12 years for ours. MM

A least the Forty Niners haven't played the last 12 years (have they?). Very strange to see the Niners with a 6-1 record and a lousy QB. I wouldn't trade the last 12 years with all of the great coaches they hired and smart draft picks they made. Who needs Tom Brady or Aaron Rogers, they picked Alex Smith? Imagine what kind of team they would be with a "good" quarterback!

I couldn't give tickets for the Colts as trick or treat goodies
kids wouldn't take them

I've always had a lot of respect for Manning but I think he's about done. I hope not but we'll have to wait and see.

But I also want to give a shout out to my resurrected Lions, led by Stafford and Suh the Lions have had a great infusion of something they've lacked for a long time: Talent. GM Martin Mayhew and coach Jim Schwartz are finally starting to neutralize the stench left behind from the Matt Millen era, who without question was the worst GM in the history of the NFL and maybe in all of pro sports. The Lions are 6-2 at the halfway point of the season and have a bye this Sunday and a tough second half schedule that includes the Packers twice. We shall see what the second half brings. I think they should make the playoffs, but to be able to make the playoffs and advance to their ultimate goal they will need to get by the Packers who ain't too bad a team.

News Flash !!!!!!
Lucas Oil Stadium has been designated as an emergency tornado shelter

it has been determined that a touchdown there would be highly unlikely this season

A judge was deciding a custody case involving a 12 year old in Detroit. The judge asked the boy would he like to live with his father, he said no sir he beats me. The judge said well then you can live with your mother, again the boys said she beats me. The judge looked at the boy and said well then where do you want to live, the boy replied Indianapolis, they don't beat any buddy.

It does seem as if that "they don't beat any body" has moved from Detroit to Indy. MM
