I have received the mente ACS and installed it very easily wow. Work well although I haven’t sea trialed it yet. Can’t wait. Thanks

tabman would suggest between the prop tunnel ?

Do you know where ? See picture I drew red or yellow markings

Great to hear the Mente Marine ACS install went well. Mine has been faultless.

Over the prop tunnels per his post #6 in the below linked thread.

Although one member in this thread says he put them inboard of the prop tunnels.

Hi Chris,
Yes, I built the box and I put it on slides. I made it black so you can't really see it at all when it is recessed. There is a lot of unused room behind that tv, but I figured the best way to easily get to it was with a slide-out drawer/box. I put a little clip of the front so it stays shut while underway.

The PO on mine put the direct tv equipment in there and closed off most of it. This looks like a great little project. I am not much of a woodworker, anything special on the wood/corners etc. yours looks really good in the pics

I have some woodworking experience but I don't think it is imperative. I had to make the box accessible from the side when the drawer is open, so you can easily get things into and out of it. I got some heavy-duty slides on Amazon and had to make sure of the measurements so that the slides worked optimally, but it is very sturdy and secure. I wanted something substantial to mount the tv on the front, but I may have overbuilt the sides and the back of the box.
I found that this boat doesn't have very much convenient storage for tools and as I am constantly in need of a tool, this is where I keep some of the most often used candidates.

If anyone has come up with a good place to store tools that is still very handy, I'd be interested to find out where and how they are stored. I saw somewhere on one of these forums that someone had mounted a toolbox in the engine compartment, but I can't remember exactly where I saw that. That seems brilliant to me, if possible. Having to climb out of the engine compartment a few times just to grab another tool is a real pain.

I'm always interested in ways others have tweaked their 380's.
Thanks,
Paul

Thank you for the info!

I keep a bag of tools in the very back of the storage locker just forward of them cockpit fridge/icemaker. I also keep another under the double seat. Not super happy with either, always open for a better system also

I'm looking to install two Axiom 7+ units on the dash behind the wheel. What I received was E70634 but the trunnion wheels built into the plotter don't seem to allow for a surface mount. Am I missing something? Looks like the wheels would we as wide or wider then the cutout would be, wouldn't they show even if I ordered the rear mounting bracket kit?
They should, Axiom's are designed to mount using the rear clamping bracket. If you want them flush you have to router out the trim to sink them in. Sam at Technografics can make you a custom replacement panel already cut to spec and ready to install.

I am having trouble with my vacuflush system I have replaced the seal at the toilet , bellows, duckbills and pressure switch I can now get the pump to build vacuum and shut off but only for about 5 minutes. Where else should I check for leaks and what is the best way to check? How do I access the hose from the toilet to the pvc pipe that runs to the vacuum tank?

the connection between the hose from the toilet and the vacuum generator tank.

I know this has been discussed but i need to replace my cockpit fridge in my 2003 380. Can anyone please recommend a replacement at a good price?

I’m also under the impression that i the hole size is too small and i’ll have to trim some fiberglass?

Thanks in advance.

https://www.novakool.com/r1200

Fit perfect, just needed to add 12 volts

holds 36-40 12 ounce cans

there is larger that fit, but this was great for my 2000- 380

The R1200 was the same size as the factory icemaker

here is a chart, you can take your existing opening and match up to. Not sure what fridge you have currently

I installed a Vitrofrigo 3.1 AC/DC and it was the max I could fit by cutting the fiberglass at the opening. I did not cut anything back in the structure back inside.

If you go back to the posts from about a year ago, there were a flurry of posts on this. There was lots of good info on wiring and install.

Cheers!

well, its a pretty simple system.
1. If you are not loosing water out of your bowl, then the flapper seal was installed correctly. If you are losing water then it might have been dry when you put it in.
2. make sure you did all 4 duck bills, some people only do two
3. The next is did you rebuilt the pump, plunger replace and an O ring replacement.
4. If you have a screw in pressure switch did you use any teflon tape, etc If its the one that uses a hose clamp, did you tighten it down enough.
5. next step is a pain, prime the system let it hold pressure... then listen for a hissing sound (leak)
6. Trust me i did all this and at the end of the day, mine was crappy batteries. One year and a half old batteries and the system is so sensitive, when i flushed it one it used so many volts it wouldnt build up the right pressure ( doesnt sound like this is your problem though )
Hope this helps!

I am going through the process of updating the 20 year old electronics (Raytheon to Garmin) on my 2001 380DA. So now i have a couple of MFD's (1242xsv & 942xs) with sonar capability. Need to replace the existing transducer with another thru-hull, Garmin compatible, flush mount transducer that supports sonar. Any recommendations
