Official 380 Thread

Thanks, Bruce SEA 993. I had seen your previous work and that is what convinced me to go with the 1242 in that spot. I am installing the 942 in the switch panel similar to what amajamar showed in his upgrade posts. Did you change your transducer to support the sonar?

With your updates you may want to consider Garmins GT41-THO. It provides a lot of different viewing options, traditional sonar, clearvu, side view....fairly simple install with a bit of glass work. Here’s a couple pics...

@Mig22
Are this pics off yours at the lake?

I installed a "in hull" transducer from Garmin. I do not get the cool looking stuff that Mig 22 showed. I was looking for basic sonar and redundant depth. It is really close to the stock depth indicator that came with the boat.

Cheers!

Looking at replacing the spotlight on the bow. Every time I see the ACR (or whatever the name is) it mocks me. It does not work and the finish looks terrible. I am sure it is a zillion watt halogen (hooligan) bulb.

I do not anticipate using it a whole lot but when you need it, you need it. We have a hand held spotlight but it is not going to be convenient to use at the helm with all else going on.

I am looking at a GoLight 30004ST. I found the wiring diagram for the ACR and it looks like the Yellow and Green wires are the hot and ground for the lamp. The other wires are for the rotation and tilt.

The GoLight tilt and rotation is all internal so I am thinking of using the existing ACR wiring (Yellow and Green) as the LED GoLight uses 1/3 the amperage.

Couldn't find much on this forum...I would love any input from the experience anybody has. I am not inclined to rebuild or repair 20+ old stuff. It is kind of like the steam powered Raytheon radar...

Cheers!

Made the journey to the Amish canvas shop today. Getting new biminis, camper enclosure (fabricated) and isinglass. Also a dash cover and cockpit cover....

BruceSea993.

I started a thread a couple years ago where I found new gear motors for the ACR spotlight (they completely rusted out to dust) for about $20 each delivered. Bulbs can be found in expensively on EBay, and for the little I use it, they work just fine. A tune up on this is less than $100.

Mine needs a good paint job. One of these days, I’m going to take it to be sandblasted and powder coated. That would make it look new.

I would think $200 all in.

Thanks David, I will look it up!

Have anyone replaced factory burlwood dash panels with something different or more current? Replacing electronics and need new panels. Any one with pics to show? Thanks

Thank you 370Dancer, we have 3 guys and we split the trailer, and luckily 1 of them has a semi

On a garage door, there is a trim with a piece of runner to seal when closed, the anchor light barely touched the rubber trim on the top. tight squeeze!

Nice tow rig. Did you get it completely inside, or just up to the arch?

Looking for either a part number or a specific size for the port side wiper blade. I checked in CSR and found very little on the 380DA. What I found, I could not use to order a replacement. Most likely one model fits a wide range of SunDancer's.

Thanks for any help that can be offered. Have a great weekend.

Vince

Hey Vince, are you looking for the arm or the blade with the rubber insert?

I used the Michelin 22 inch blade from Costco. If they are still the same construction, the blade with the rubber insert bolts right into the existing arm.

It was a super cheap replacement and fit perfectly. The blade happened to have a hole through it in the exact place needed. I did not use any of the included adaptors...just the bolt from the wiper arm.

Cheers!

I changed out both the sidewall and flooring. I had a carpet guy that did my homes. This is the second time. I doesn’t last too long I got maybe 6-7 years out of it. I don’t like the runners. Wood scratches. Carpet feels and looks warmer to me.
