Official 370 Sundancer thread

Here is one of my favorite pictures from Yachtworld. Not my boat but mine was not much better.

Nice place to hide all of the dirt and grime - in the cracks.

Yeah....... I like the idea....of the seperate Captain seat with the bolster.....just not the choice of upholstry design. IMHO.... plain flat cushions would be much nicer.

Not sure what is more disturbing, the pictures Gene found on Yachtworld or the pictures that Cliff posted that make me tired just looking at them. I have not noticed any rot anywere else than my port side seat, but then again I have not looked that hard....

How about this, I bet I have one of the few 370's with a bunk bed in the aft cabin. This is how you get three kids (twin girls age 8) and a 5 year old boy to sleep in the aft stateroom.

Hey, I like your bunk bed setup. Kids are all gone, but have a daughter who has a four year old son.

The rot on the passenger seat port side comes from standing water on the cabinet top. There is a bead of sealant between the back of the cabinet (over the ice maker) that prevents water from running down the back, and into the side coaming. However, the way the boat sits, water would just collect there and soak that part of the seat bottom.

Cliff, it looks like you have a major project on your hands. Did you decide to rebuild back to original? If you plan on keeping the boat for a long time you may want to consider using Starboard or some other type of rot resistant material so you never have to worry about it again. Keep us posted on your progress and let me know if you need any measurements or pictures to help with putting it back together. Good luck, Mark

There is a lifetime warranty on the glomex antenna, If you call Imtra us distributor they send you a new one.

this from there web site:
I have a Glomex marine TV antenna and amplifier system on my 34' Sea Ray. The system performs great; however, the antenna dome has become extremely dirty and black almost like it's covered in mold. What should I attempt to clean it with? I don't want to damage it or compromise it's performance. Fantastic spray cleaner or ZEP products (a bleach) appear to have no effect on cleaning it. I believe the Glomex antenna has a life time warranty stamp on it. I would ask to replace it if I cannot clean it simply because it's appearance is so bad. Thank you.

Please call us at 508-995-7000 for a Return Authorization number, then send your antenna to Returns, Imtra Corporation, 30 Samuel Barnet Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02745. We will evaluate your antenna and send you a new unit under Glomex's lifetime warranty if it qualifies. We have seen this type of discoloration on some antennas that were made of an older inferior material. Glomex now uses a more UV resistant material.
Hi Spiro,
Just to let you know. I contacted Imtra about the Glomex 9112 antenna. I received the RA # from them. I sent the old antenna back last Wednesday and I received the new one last night at no cost. Thanks for the info.

Let us know if it works any better than the old one.

Gene

I will let you know, but it will not be until next spring. The boat is up for the winter. We did connect the box for digital and went from 3 channels to 16 and that was with old antenna. :smt038

I wish I only knew about this sooner. I ended up spray painting mine this summer with some white paint made for plastics. It came out looking real nice but I doubt the Glomex police would give me a replacement now. :smt089 I'll be sure to pass the info on to any Glomex owners I run into. Thanks for the heads up, Mark

Yeah, I did the same to mine and then tossed it this spring after I replaced it with a Shakespeare unit.

So after a month, I 've put all the raw stuff up there. 216 pages with approximately 3,000 photos. All that's left is to pretty it up and maybe flesh out the Odds 'N Ends pages with shots of the customizations we've done.

At this point, I'm open to suggestions.

Gene, I don't think there's any other sites like this for a specific model Sea Ray. You took our "official thread" to a whole new level.:smt038 Maybe if we could get everyone to dig up pictures of how they use their 370. You know, pics taken under way, partying at the dock, having fun, that kind of stuff. I'm not trying to create more work for you but it was just a thought. Thanks, Mark

That's putting it mildly. I am having them all rebuilt utilizing composites and starboard so we don't go down this road again. It's 90% labor, so the cost of bullet proofing them is relatively small. I am having a professional shop do all the seats and bolsters, as they are pretty involved, and I just don't have the time to devote to the project. I'll be visiting them tomorrow to see how we're coming along.
