Official 370 Sundancer thread

Has anyone converted the space where the old salon TV was mounted on a 98 into a wine rack? Seems feasible??

Ours was made into a storage cabinet with hinges and door that matched the trim. I don’t see any reason you couldn’t make it a wine rack.
We looked at doing the same, but ended up just making a door and turning it into storage too.

covered mine up with a 32" LCD TV by making a bracket that slides in and out of the cavity. In the cavity, I house the ship's router, and cabling from the helm and forward stateroom to be kind of a data and A/V closet.

All good ideas. The better half enjoys wine much more than television, however.

anyone know the dimensions offhand?

I put it in the newbie column but I put a deposit subject to survey and sea trial on a 1994 370 with twin 7.4 Mercruisers with 960 hours. Survey is scheduled for April 19th. I have been lurking on this thread for several months now before joining. The content here certainly was a part of my decision to go Sea Ray 370.

Welcome aboard, best of luck on the 370 deal.

Quick question-does anyone know where they might have hidden the fluxgate compass on the factory electronics package for a ‘97 370? Are there two compass senders for the pilot and the radar? I think there’s a sender by the pilot, but it looks kinda jenky. View attachment 120877

Finally found these little dudes. I have a fluxgate for the autopilot and a heading sensor for the radar. They were in the forward most bilge compartment under the seat in the rear stateroom (center of boat).

I was with the seller on the boat Sunday going over her and he told me he was having her serviced next week so she could be dunked somewhere around April 9th or 10th. He asked if I wanted to go on the trial run to check all the systems prior to the survey and sea trial. I'll post how that goes.

Sounds like a good seller. One's I have been dealing with won't even wait for the ice to melt for a sea trial. Good luck.

Does anyone here know what route the transducer wires take from the transducers in the bilge to behind the ST60s on the dash? I have to route the cable for my new Axiom DV transducer the same way and I’m wondering how hard it is to chase those.

TIA

Jim

a couple of general points.
1. The ST-60 may or may not be original. If original, the transducer lead likely runs through a wire chase from the Sbd side of the engine room (up over the Stb tank), into the giant wire loom that goes from Sbd to Port. they come out somewhere around the battery charger and down to the transducers. I don't think you will have any luck tying one end to the new cable and pulling.
2. If the ST-60s were added later, then chances are the installer did not use the wire loom, and may have chased the lines outside of the conduit up to the helm.
You will have to look to see which situation you have.

My 94 DA systems monitor warning buzzer only alarms one engine when the ignition switches are turned on. I turn the ignition for the starboard engine and the buzzer sounds until the engine starts. I turn the ignition for the port engine, no buzzer sound. The owner's manual electrical schematic refers to a Sea Ray drawing 09-402 for the systems monitor but that drawing is not included in the manual that I have. Does anyone have this drawing or experience with this issue?
Thanks in advance.

Hi I made the 94 choice a few years back and LOVE it! I hope things work out for you and if it does post some pics!

There is usually a harness connector on the wiring loom that runs from the ebox down the front of the motor. I have seen that harness come unplugged leading to the buzzer not working and the temp gauge not working amongst other things.

Hello I am about to purchase a 1997 370 SD can any owners give me and pro and con on the boat. Its gas with 7.4 motors also what Hp are those . I have read a bunch of different hp from 310 to 370 . What does it cruise at with the water tank full in the bow. Can you stand up and drive with the low arch. thank you

Hello, I have confirmed the boat I want is a 370 Sundancer , 1995-1998, any recommendations on known issues to look for from the survey. I've seen one that has "moisture" in the stringers (not sure how much) and another that had delamination on the foredeck. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks!

I sugg3est that you binge on reading all 192 pages of this thread. When you are done, you will know pretty much everything you need to know about the 370DA. There is 20 odd years of experience and knowledge here
thank you
