Official 370 Sundancer thread

Question about props.
1995 370 with 7.4 engines running 18 x 21 props (3 blade). Going to send out this winter to get them checked and tuned up. What are you all running for props?
I don't really run above 3200rpm as that feels like the best cruise speed (19 knots).

Do you have the Horizon motors (380 HP)? I have the HO units on a '98 370 and feel like I run 4K RPM at 24 knots but am not sure if the props have been altered or are original as I just got the boat a few months ago.

Motors are most likely rated at 330 HP. Purchased long blocks last year and built them (Gen 5 roller cam) with Edlebrock carbs and are now FWC. Old Jasper's remans last owner installed in 2002 were done (salt water cooled). Had her up to 3800rpm and turned around 24 knots.

Anybody ever experienced unexplained water in the hole where the the aft table goes? We removed the flushmount piece a few weeks ago (to be replaced) and just found water in it. Nothing else around it is wet, just in that hole. Checked all the under seat storage, and it’s all dry.

Any ideas where that could come from?

(This is inside the cabin, in the aft seating area)

And all the carpet or surrounding floor is dry???
What about the compartment with the hot water system or forward near the shower sump?

Can you make a determination of whether it's fresh or salt water (assuming you are in salt). Can't tell where you are. There are potential explanations for either.
When you pulled the pole insert, was the cavity full of expanding foam, or can you see the bottom of your bilge there?
Do you have an icemaker in your cockpit?
Have you pulled up the carpet in the coaming lockers to see what shape the (unprotected) flooring is in there?

New topic. Don't see anything through search except replacing the entire cockpit sink with stainless.
Wondering if anyone has replaced the drains in the cockpit sink, the galley sink, and/or the head sink?
Mine are 23 now, and getting tired. If you have and can source, that would be great.

I've done my head sink with a push type (so no loose plug now). I'll see if have any reference for what I used or some pics. I had a plumber friend come and take care of it.

How good is that feeling when you start to hear tapping noises from an engine, only to discover en exhaust gasket leak instead of anything major!!

Prop nut size on 1-1/4" shaft ?
Trying to buy correct socket for this.

That's what the parts manual says, but it doesn't seem right. Maybe it is.
1.5" shaft, tapers to ?? at the nut

Hi all, happy new year 2022!

I just took responsibility, until I sell her, of a 2010 370 DA, a truly amazing boat as most of you know. I am tackling a couple of projects, and will post some pictures, that may help the future readers of this thred.

But for the moment, I have a question: under the helm, inside the compartment that you can reach via the access door, there is an membrane switch with 8 push buttons. It is unlabeled, and I can't figure out what it does. It sits to the left of the fuse block. I found that it is built by the same people who build the electronic power distribution/relay/breaker box, so it is probably an emergency switch of some kind. I have been unable to find what it does on either the official documentation, or through several Google searches. Does anyone have an idea of what it does?

As for projects, so far I have:
1. Installed a B&G Vulcan 12 Chartplotter + Radar - routing the wires through the arch and the starboard side of the boat.

Next projects are:
2. Install an AIS Transponder AMEC 600W, and connect it to the B&G and Raymarine C120 plotters - one is N2K, the C120 is NMEA 183. Transponder will get its own antenna for VHF and GPS installed on a Scanstrut tower that also supports the radar dome.
3. Install a Pepwave Max Transit Cat18 modem and Parsec Husky antenna - this one I may install inside the roof of the cockpit, only routing power to the Pepwave, instead of the 8 coax cables from the antenna to the boat.

Thanks for the phenomenal resources found on this thread. You guys helped me with project #1 above - that's how I figured out that behind the speaker panels, and stbd cockpit fridge you have access to route the wire loom for the radar.

Newbie, looking for advise on 370's. we are in the market to buy a Sundancer 370, what is the big differences between year 2011 or 2014?
Thanks, Bob

Newbi, we decided to start looking to buy Sundancer 370 2010 or newer, what years do you recommend and why?
We are think to look for a fresh water boat and shipping it home to south FL.
Thanks,
Bob

Lots of info on these model years in the 350/370 thread that can be found here http://www.clubsearay.com/index.php?threads/official-350-370-da-thread-2008-or-newer.29749/

As for the question of the changes through the years there haven’t been many. Biggest changes include the larger hullside windows in the 2013+ and the swim platform grill option that I believe was made in the 2016+ Models. Interior vinyl patterns changes a bit and some of the hardware was updated but nothing too major from 2010-2017

Good info, thanks for the reply. I will read the tread that you recommended.

Has anyone experienced an engine not starting after use.
More specifically, if i jump aboard, it fires right up. If I drive for 30-45min, anchor for an hour or two, my port motor won't crank. Wait overnight and it fires up no issue.
Power comes on, but nothing at all when depressing the start button (not even a click).
Self diagnosis is making me think slave solenoid failure with heat soak, but wanted to bounce it off some others.

Thanks
