OFFICIAL 350/370 DA Thread (2008 or newer)

Hi John, The table is great; We do use it. I have refinished mine and have a cover for it. The sun pad set up is stored in my garage.

I have seen some great tables on other boats.

Hello all,
I'm new to the forum and new to boating, and thrilled I stumbled across this 350/370 2008 or newer thread.
Has anyone removed the original TV in the salon area (think 25 inch).
I have read on other threads that you remove the screws in the corners, then remove the tv with the black mounting board. There seems to be two screws for the black mounting board behind the tv (upper left and lower right), but I can't figure out how to get access to the lower right side screw. Has anyone upgraded this tv, and if so, does removing it involve removing the whole outer tan vinyl wall paper frame around the tv. Any advice much appreciated!
Thanks

Did some checking over the weekend and found the MP3 ipod connector/1/4" mini jack located in the stbd clothes locker by the V-Birth feeds the little bow bullet speakers by the cushions. This is without the main Clarion stereo or the cabin & cockpit amps powered on. Not sure if the unit mounted behind the locker has a small amp built in because it does have 12v to charge the ipod if using the ipod jack. I can not find the swim platform transom 50Wx2 Chan.Panasonic amp. I checked behind the main Clarion system where people said it should be and checked behind the mid cabin stbd cushion where the Cockpit 400Wx4 Chan. Panasonic is located. The Cabin 50Wx2 Chan. Panasonic amp is mounted on the backside but I cant find the transom Amp. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I also noticed when selecting the dash mounted cockpit stereo micro switch, it lights up blue and mutes the transom speakers and acts like a mute switch when lit. Is this how its supposed to function?
That is how my switch works also. When it’s lights blue it mutes the transom speakers. Also are you saying that the setup in the starboard closet is what powers the the forward deck speakers?

This thread is awfully quiet, but I'm sure I'll have lots of questions very soon. Took us a while to find the right one, but we are currently under contract on a 2013 370. Very much looking forward to getting to know the boat better, it's quite a bit of a shocker compared to our 280 but I'm assuming that we'll get used to it with time. The boat is a V drive with 8.2s, so I'm sure she'll be thirsty, but the comfortable ride and space to weekend will be a huge improvement.
Just bought the same boat and year

I'm curious to find out if you have figured it out. No one has replied to your post. I am thinking about pulling out my original TV and replacing with a smart TV. I replaced the cockpit TV and it streams well. I don't really need my satellite unit that Dish wants $2k to replace to make that unit functional.

Hi cstinehour,
Thats my exact plan. My marina just installed an updated wifi system, so I figured a smart TV is the way to go. Although not at the top of my priority list, I find myself circling back to this project.
I will definitely let you know if I figure it out.

Hi, I found this post and I think its a very similar set up. I have 2008 330 with a 26" analog TV. Plan on installing 32 digital smart TV $200.00. Because I will never use the 26" tv I might just pry it out and rebuild using a Sanus TV mount.

This looks like too much work for something we will never use...

I have managed to remove the analog bulkhead TV and replace it with a digital unit. Removal information is as follows:

1. You must first remove the TV muff (upholstered frame around TV). Two bottom screws to muff are located under glued screw caps. You must pull these screw covers off first.
2. When bottom of muff is unscrewed, it will swing out enough to allow you to unscrew two top muff screws which are located on the inside top of TV muff.
3. Remove TV muff.
4. Remove two locking screws from TV mount located behind TV and on the underside of mount.
5. Lift TV up to slide out of mount
6. Unplug wires from TV set

You will most likely need to change out the TV power cord as the old power cord will not fit the input to your new TV. Power cord runs through bulkhead into a 110 volt power outlet which is located inside the 12 volt Main Distribution Panel. You must take the 12 volt panel cover off to access this power outlet.

You will also need to re-position the TV mount on the bulkhead slightly as the size of the new TV and mount location on the TV will be different than the old TV.

The old TV is a Zenith 23 inch model. The only TVs that will fit inside the TV muff without modification to the TV muff are a 23 inch Samsung and a 25 inch Hannspree. I elected to install a 26 inch Vizio which required me to enlarge the width of the TV muff cutout by 2 inches. The height of the TV muff was okay.

I'm now back in business!

Can you point out in this picture what you are referring to as the “TV Muff” I am not sure what piece you are referring to.

The “TV Muff” was not my info just a copy paste :) but I think its the padded vinyl surround around the TV. Your picture would indicate a little different set up. I plan on removing the tv in the next few days and will let you know what I find. There must be a easy way to remove the TV with out removing the interior.

Here’s the pictures of what held the 26” analog TV. Basically 3 wood screws on top easy to see and remove and 2 wood screws on the bottom not visible so I broke the wood to remove. Now working on installing 32” Samsung with Samsung sound bar.

Silly question. On our build sheet on the boat, it notes that it was optioned with a "compressor for water toys". Was this a fixed mount type thing or a handheld air pump that may have walked away with the previous owner? Not sure where to look for this to see if it's installed on the boat or not.

Hi all,

My wife and I just sold our boat, and are now looking at a 350/370. I'm curious if anyone has experience with delamination issues. A boat we had surveyed showed elevated moisture and a crack in the generator's 'platform', which I'm curious: Does anyone know if this platform support's the hull's rigidity, or is it solely a 'platform'?

Thanks for your feedback.

Three Seasons,

I have a question. How did you get the TV out to remove the 5 screws in the black frame?

Good morning,
I was able to see the top 3 screws with a flash light and enough room to squeeze a screw driver in to remove them. No room to see the bottom 2 so I just bent it forward broke the wood. Knowing I would never use the tv again I was ok with breaking the tv if necessary. Almost done installing the 32” with a sound bar its been a PIA but looks great.

Good luck

Three Seasons, Thanks for the reply. I'm looking forward to seeing your installation!

I'm unsure as to the construction of this area, but am unaware of any delimitation issues with these models. We just recently moved up from our 280 Sundancer and love the boat. Very comfortable to weekend on and rides in chop like a dream. With the V-drives it is considerably less "sporty" feeling, more like a big, floaty luxury car that soaks up all the bumps. I ran it home in 3-4s and we've been out in similar weather on a few occasions now and it just plows through and throws the spray like a flared fishing boat.

Completed the TV upgrade with sound bar. More work than expected but really enjoy the larger screen and awesome sound. Vizio 32” (only tv i could find side connections for close mount) and Samsung 26” sound bar.

Thanks - we decided to walk away, but found another! Has stern drives with Axius (so it may have a different feel than yours with v-drives), wish us luck!
