Official 330 Sundancer Thread

Hi Tim, and to all fellow 330 owners. I've got an '08, with merc horizons, and genset. I've got a question: How do you access your A/C seacock and strainer?

Hi all,

Just thought I would add onto the 330 owners list. If you are missing those pesky curtain runners on the tracks for the privacy curtains. Over time ours have come apart and I find the plastic wheels and parts on the floor... Thanks to the children and their gentle handling of the curtains...

Well the wife found and ordered new ones which are an exact replacement.

www.curtain-tracks.com has the part. The part number is 41143. She also ordered new pins to go into the curtain as ours had to have been in there for the better part of a decade!

Just though I would post this up in case you need any..

Thanks!!

Great site Tom! They have the little plastic slide parts on the curtain to the aft cabin that I have been trying to find for years for my older 290. I have looked everywhere for these things and there they were! Thanks again.

Hi,

Anyone with a 330 DA 1995 -1997 with a camera, can you please post a picture of the swim platform ladder assembly

My ladder does not stay put. I took a look at mine this weekend, and the only thing i saw that maybe could hold ladder tight was 2 pieces of starboard on on each side with a small hole cut out, just enough for the rung of the ladder to fit in.

I am hoping that there is more to it, as Last season I was frustrated by the ladder dragging ever time i went on plane.

If any one has made any custom mods to keep ladder in, please share with me, before I splash in this weekend

thanks

No pictures, but mine is held from sliding out by the fiberglass cover that when closed, prevents it from sliding back at all. Maybe your cover is not the original one?

I dont have a cover, it is just a rail with a ladder that slides out

The '95's have a different ladder set up. You also probably have a handle/toe stubber on the extended part of the swim deck. Newer models have the three step ladder stowed under a fiberglass lid as noted below.

Perhaps a fabric strap with a snap on it to go over the collasped ladder to hold it down. I am assuming it bounces up while running and over that starboard block, then unfolds out. I can see that happening as our slides really easy once out. We have a cover on ours that keeps it in place. There are not latches on the hatch so I would bet a strap would keep it down....

I can't even take credit. The wife found it on a google search... Now she thinks you can find anything for the darn boat she does not understand why I think its hard.. She gets one right... :smt021

larrybull,

I had the same issues last season. You are correct, the only thing holding the ladder in place is the Starboard on each side of the ladder. Last year after haul out I pulled off one of the starboard pieces and, as a winter project, constructed a new one. It took a little fine tuning, drilling, filing, etc. to get it to a acceptable latch and unlatch force.

I can provide pics, dimensions of the new catch when I get home later today...

that would be great, I am doing my final list on saturday, and hoping to finish and splash on sunday, but it It takes me one more week to sort this out, I will postpone the splash to fix this

Larrytbull...

I have a picture, worth a 1000 words..

I have both, a uncut block and a cut piece out of delrin cut to approx. dimensions. If you want I can send you one or the other. The Ladder Catch I cut was from a 96 Sundancer, manufactured in Palm Coast Florida. It did take a little fine tuning to get the latch efforts right. Nothing a file and a drill cannot fix.

If you would like send me a PM with your address and I can get my pre-cur piece in the mail tomorrow.

*Note: I did make both a RH and LH side but based on the retention efforts I only installed one side.

Hello. I am a fellow 330 owner, 1997 to be exact!. One thing I had a problem with that maybe others might run into is the shower drain was cracked below the floor in the bathroom so every time we took a shower the aft cabin carpet would get wet. I ended up having to cut a hole from the main cabin into below the bathroom to reach in and re-build the drain and hose attachments. So anyway...If you have a we carpet in the aft cabin, check the shower drain. The design was very poor.

Nice to meet everyone........Joe from CT

Speaking of the swim platform ladder. Mine (1997) is very hard to extend because the slides are all corroded between each step extension. Anyone know where I can get replacement parts for the ladder. It has a sticker on it that is mostly worn away. I think it mentions a company in Florida but I haven't had any luck finding the manufacturer.

got it thanks,
had a heck of a time with my dash this weekend,
so did not splash in (was raining too)
gonna work on this during the week
