Official 330 Sundancer Thread

Hi GaryO

As tdschafer said, I do have the vent covers made (usually to order) however I do have a port side one ready to ship if you are wanting it ? I suspect that mine would be more expensive as the shipping from the uk to USA is expensive so I would recommend you get a price from tdschafer first but if You do want a set/or individual side
They work out at $338.00 fully inclusive of tracked and traced shipping to the USA for the pair (1 x Starboard side and 1 x Port side). They come base coat white “unpainted” finish.
They are “un-drilled” as there would be slight variations between each Hull, so you will need to drill the 3 x 3mm holes to align with the holes on your boat.
If you want just one side then please specify which one and this will work out at $202.00 Tracked and Traced shipping inclusive to the USA
If you want to go ahead then please send me your email address and full postal address, I will then email you a “request for payment” from my PAYPAL account ( I use PAYPAL so that either party can have be confident that the transaction is fully monitored and auditable if there are any problems). One payment has been made I will ship them immediately and email you the tracking info.
If you are unsure of how PAYPAL works then please check them out at www.paypal.com

@GaryO

Can anyone post me the Sling locations on 1998 330 Sundancer, ideally a couple of photos showing forward/aft locations as mine are missing and we’re planning a lift soon.
thanks

just checking to see if anyone has bought these yet? I'm not interested in buying them but I sure would like to have a port side one made. Any help will be appreciated...Thanks, GaryO
Hi Gary,
Sorry, but now that I am boatless for the first time in 30 years I find myself on here a lot less. No one has taken me up on my offer yet & I don't make the covers. I got the original vent covers for my fiberglass guy to make the molds. Then he made several sets (one for me) and gelcoated them in Arctic White. They did not come predrilled but did have little dimples in the screw locations. I see that @Tony Clark has replied & I urge you to take him up on his offer. That is a good deal, especially for a unicorn like this. Best of luck & happy boating!

Thanks for getting back to me...I cannot find the offer from Tony Clark...can you tell me how to find it please? Thanks

Thank you so much for getting back to me! I would like to go ahead and get the one for the port side of the boat if it is indeed like the one in my picture on my first post about this...my email is wydeglyde@hotmail.com...my mailing address is Gary Owen 139 Owen Road Rose Bud, AR 72137....thanks again, GaryO

Hi Gary

Can you confirm what model of SeaRay you need the vent covers for please as I only have the ones for the 1997/1999 330 Sundancer.

I really don't think there is too much difference between 1995 thru 1999.... (I think 1999 was the last year of production... maybe 1999 production was split 1/2 330 the other 1/2 340?? Old age is a bitch)

I’m in the process of upgrading Sanctuary’s electronics she currently has Garmin 3010C chart plotter, Garmin GSD21 sounder, Garmin GMR18 radar,COMAR SLR200 AIS, nav an 7100 DSC vhf, and Garmin remote gps. All running on a NEMA0183 protocol my plan is replace all with a NEMA2000 backbone and compatible chart plotter/radar/Sounder/Autopilot And replace the analogue gauges with digital representation on dedicated displays. My Steyr 246k42s ECU’S run on a J1939 can bus and although Raymarine will display J1939 protocol data my preference is for Garmin units. Does/has anyone done similar and particularly has anyone installed an autopilot system on their 330 DA and if so can you advise on any issues you may have had.
my helm is a SeaStar 1.7 tilt with single action SeaStar BA125-7 ATM RAM.

REGARDS
TONY

I'm just getting ready to install a EV-150 Autopilot on my '96 330 DA. Will do a quick story like I did when I changed over to hydraulic steering from cable (first step toward autopilot). I see the toughest part is getting a Seatalk spur cable down to the EV sensor, would like to mount it in bottom by the shower sump but still working that out. More to come.....

want to see how this turns out - couple questions - I had a EV 100 on our 35 ft (for sale) sailboat. EV 150 the newer model ?? The 100 handled the sailboat very well. As we just purchased our 1995 330 last fall (and only out twice) I am wondering if I will miss the auto pilot - though wife says not needed as we get to the islands (much) faster. I placed the sensor in our aft berth, was pretty easy to run cables once control pad hole was cut and installed. have you considered just mounting on dash ?? or in the aft cabin? Under first or second stair coming into cabin? Was the conversion to hydraulic steering a necessity or something you wanted to do?
