Official 290 Sundancer Thread

Hi, I have a new spotlight issue. No power to the bulb or motion. I checked all the breakers and they are in, is there an in-line fuse anywhere?

Thanks.

I do not believe there is an inline fuse but I would start with replacing the switch at the helm. Mine went out and that was the cause. Its only a couple bucks. They are pretty easy to find if I recall.

Hey Cincy, thanks for the reply. However, just so you all know, I went over to the boat to take out the switch and guess what I found? A in-line 10a fuse, :smt038. Blown. Between all of us, we might get this figured out. Thanks again.

Well, that saved you a couple bucks!:) Now that you mention it I think I remember that but obviously mine wasn't blown. I could tell it was the switch at the time because it would occassionally work with the right pressure.

Hello folks..Thinking about installing a gas fume detector in the bilge. Have any of you added one to your boat?

Hi All, any thoughts on approximate costs for an annual service? we have a '98 290 with twin 5.7's. Over the last 6 months we already had the impellers serviced, and new manifolds/risers installed, so I figure it should just be the basics (wishful thinking!)

Hey guys im new to this forum and also a new sea ray owner!.. I was wondering if anyone knows where i can get a set of original cabin door trucks? Ive found a few places that sell them but i dont know what size to get! The boat is a 94 290 sundancer.

I just ordered a new swim platform for my 2006 290 Sundancer. Does anyone have one and have pics of what it looks like when the boat is in the water?Ive seen plenty of pics of it installed on land....Just curious to see what it will look like.

A swim platform for a 2006?? This I have to see. I've never see this vintage 290
with a platform attached. Post some pics.

*sigh*

Every time I see this thread I get a little excited that there may actually be some discussion about my boat. I open the thread only to remember that you guys have the newer version of the 290.

Carry on...

I will continue being jealous.

The old style arent available anymore, you have to update to the newer truck with the newer tracks. They are available from Boat Outfitters or Flounder Pounder.

BTW, us '94-'97 290 Owners have our own seperate thread in this foorum. You should check it out if you havent already.

Ok, I'll try this.

Pardon my ignorance, I am new to the forum. How do I navigate to the 94-97 290 owners section? and, do you have any knowledge of
anyone lifting our style, single engine 290 with a 10,000 lb tank type, slip mounted lift?
