You can pretty much take that door apart. If there is a dent, you can probably fix it with a block of wood and a mallet. If that does not work, try dynamite! :smt001

How do I get to my air horn pump? I think that is in need of repair. I take a bit before it starts pumping enough to make noise.

Air horn pump?....I thought they are electric?....Mike.

Mine is a air horn. I can see the hose in the cabin. It just looks hard to get to. If I got board by MR. Policman, I would not pass the Horn test. Take's about 30 seconds before it starts building enough air to make noise. I Should get it fixed

This was today's project. Got around the window done. Don't like how everything turn out, but looks better. I'll probably put some trim up under then window were to seam is. May do white or just a stained piece of 1/4 round wood. I wounder if the piece that cover the blind up should be done it the white vinly also?

I just got a bid of $400 labor to recover dinette upholstery and V berth bolsters. I accepted and am going to buy the material and supply it to the upholsterer.

better than what I just paid. $865 for the Dinette without the V birth bolsters. that was with the cloth and new foam for the back rest. He use Materials he had in stock. He said it was 30 hours of work. It has some wrinkles that I really don't like. It is made out of Seat Materials of the 90's gm cars. when the dinette is down, looks like its made out of two different matrials with the center cushins. It's just the way the material lays down. Looks worse in a picuter than what it actually is.

What Matieral are you going to use?

Thinking marine vinyl on the seats and back rests and a fabric on the bolsters.

How much are you going to have in materials? I did buy a 10 year bolt (30 feet 54 wide) of white marine vinyl at Joan Fabrics before christmas for $50 with there half off coupon. don't know if they still have the same deal going on. .

Here's my trim put up in my mid cabin.

That is looking real good. These are great boats to update. Not sure what I'm going to spend in material......I will advise what I get into.

Hey Quint, why not just do the front bolsters yourself to save money. I assume by bolsters you mean the upholstered trim pieces that are slightly above the bed? FWIW I just did mine and it took somewhere in the neighborhood of 11 hours to complete. I got the material from a place called Calico Corners for $16/yard (closeout from $74/yd). The trim pieces are generally stright(ish) and simple to do. But your $400 price is hard to beat and if I got that estimate for mine, it would definately make me reconsider. LOL....

My thoughts exactly...but when he said $400 labor on all of it, I left the bolsters with him!

Radar Arch Bolts

Y'all might want to check them. I found that all of mine were loose. Six on each side.
Good luck! and have fun
Also, no cussin' :)

Pop the metal caps off to get at them?

No, you get at the nuts from the inside. Starboard side, remove access panel at side of helm seat. Port side, you have to reach in the side pocket where the 120v outlet is.
A 1/2" ratcheting wrench would probably be best. (I don't have one :smt009) I found that they were loose when I was trying to run a wire from the arch. I could only reach four of the nuts on each side.

Thanks, I'll check them. On another note. I bought a 60lb bag of tube sand today. I am gonna put it in the space inside the bow pulpit and see if my running attitude improves. I use a lot of tab and seem to run a bit bow high. I also ordered a 14lb delta anchor , replacing my 7lb Fortress which will never free drop from the roller without a kick.....so I'm picking up 67lbs up front....we shall see.

Let us know how the weight addition works out.
BTW, I knew that the other two nuts which I couldn't reach were loose because I picked the boat up and shook it and could hear the washers rattling.
