I run Quicksilver 48's 21P SS. On a good day, full fuel, half water, three people on board with some food and gear I've seen as much as 44 SOG on my GPS. Thats cranking about 4600 RPM. Give or take on the RPM, I know my Tachs are a little screwy.
Keep in mind I'm toting around a genny too. If that other 268 was only gettting in the 30's I would say it was either having mechanical issues, throttle levers were incorrectly set, or the props didn't have enough pitch. SHould have been running some high RPMs.
Mine usually cruises well at about 27-30 SOG.
