... The builder's web site is actually wrong when it adds the pulpit and platform and calls everything LOA...
I agree. I've been wanting to see a 3900 Convertible in person. A friend has a 3200 and it's great boat, quite a lot of space inside. Not as 'comfy' as the typical express though, but fantastically well laid out in the engine compartment.
While it is interesting to campare a Tiara to a Sea Ray, the Tiara is is a different class. A higher one. Those are some extremely well built boats. Lots of attention to detail in places most people never look. For a similar Sea Ray (in size)to exceed the price of one of those..... That is worth noting.
Interesting also that the newbies tend to like the new designs while the more experienced of us don't. It could be that Sea Ray is onto something or it could be that the newbies just don't have very many references to compare the new design to. It could be that the more experienced of us are stuck in our old ideas (a la who moved my cheese). Or it could be that we know a turd when we see one.
Teekster,
I imagine you're right since the head/shower are separate.
We looked through a 350 Dancer at the Dallas Boat Show. We like our 2001 340 Dancer over the new 350.
I just read this thread from start to finish. 9 pages Jan. 08 to Feb. 08 2 posts in 09. Now that 5 years have passed, I wonder how peoples feelings have changed about the then "new" 350 Sundancer. I just bought one used and absolutely love it! I came from an 02 340DA. The "new" 350 is night and day a more classy dancer (my opinion obviously). Just curious..........
