My first PWC rescue

you have a green dot, I have a black dot. they both say the same thing when I scroll over them. now i'm confused.

I think it will take time for people's square color to change, I think yours is black because it is yours, you can't vote for yourself or else mine would be gold (don't really know the colors but you get the point).

Ok went back and looked, the purple means you have unknown quality at this point as people have not voted for your postings. Realize it will take a little time for them to change. If you scroll over them they tell you what they mean.

Ok, I think I understand a little more, click on UserCP and you can see who is ranking you, there are points. The higher the points the higher the ranking. I would guess Gary has positive post and that is why his is turning green. But again in order for this to work you do not rank each and every post, instead you rank post that you think were well thought out and very helpful and this way people will know when that person speaks you should listen.
 
So let me get this straight.
Gary's in trouble and on a "Distinguished road",

Mike, Matt, Wesley, LT Dan and I including many others are "unknown quantities"....

So this is the "Circle of Trust"...... we just need to go vote?

Yes but again it is not about popularity it is about posting that are good and you can trust. As someone makes a posting that you can take to the bank you can vote on it.

DBV in another thread in just his third post is on the distinguished road as well.... man this feels like high school all over again, BTW my post in spanish disappeared in the other thread. I even conjugated the verbs correctly..
 
Also make sure you put a comment by the posting so the person knows if it was positive or not, Gary I know I put a comment by your duckbill posting that a gave you a rating on, do you see it?
