Moved 340 to Orange Beach, Alabama

Barber is a new first class marina. The people are very accommodating and treat our boats with care. We love the place. Barber has a huge repair yard with three travel lifts. The marina is remote and quiet. However the action is only a short cruise away in either direction. They will dry store 40 + footers. Look them up on line. Mr. Barber has over 3000 acres around the marina. He also owns Barber racing in Birmingham.

Dustin,

We like the Sunday brunch at Hemmingway’s on Pensacola Beach, Seafood omelets and Mimosas’. Key lime pie for desert. Hope to see you cruising this year. Our boat name is "Wild Rice".

I will look them up. Yes we will look for you out and about. I have been to Hemingway's very good food. The big Fountain is named "Hard Licker"...that is the one we usually take out when I am there on the weekends. During the week neighbor and I do a little fishing on the CC.

we just bought a 370 da in orange beach- close next week and will be keeping her at the wharf- thanks for the tip about hemmingways! we will have to go check that out! anyone here ever go to robinson island? have heard that is a fun time= and also going to baytown marina in destin? we are excited about our first boat and look forward to meeting our dock mates ;)

The 370 Dancers are good boats. Bay Towne marina is in San Destin about 20 miles east of Destin. Call Captain Ron. He is the harbormaster at Bay Towne. Take the board walk to the Bay Towne mall. Short walk and good eats. We go to the Wharf every time we are on the boat. Have a friend there with a couple of condos and a 42' Tiera. If you see the "WILD RICE" that is us. I will be fun to meet you. We may be down on July 7 through the 11th. Blue Angles Pensacola show may be that weekend. It is fun to anchor and watch the show.

the wharf has been having internet issues- should be fixed today ( fiber optics cable had issues on our dock...lol) we back up to intercoastal and boat named knot a jet - we hope to get back down there this fri july 22- we also have a friend there with a couple condos and a tiara....wonder if its same person...;) ? wouldnt that be funny ;)

We have the same friend. Bill. We flew him back here to Shreveport on Monday the 11th. I do not know if he has gone back.

we txted him about going to dinner this past weekend and he said he is having back issues and is in pt- ;( hope he is better asap! we are going back down this weekend and will see if we can find out how he is doing then-
super nice guy! we met him thru friend who have boat t.m.j. ( they are dock neighbors )

Just moved our boat to Barbers Thanksgiving weekend. Thought we would stay there for a few weeks and see some of the spots around there. Hope to meet some of you!

Jim&Deb

Jim and Deb,
Tell Lee, Josh and the crew at Barbers hello from us. We love the marina and all the crew. If you like to walk in the mornings you should enjoy a walk down the road through the woods or a walk through the boat yard. Our boat “WILD RICE” is dry stored in the building. I think their building and forklift is large enough to dry store your 370 AC.
There are lots of good places to eat by boat. Pirates Cove is just around the corner to the east with Bear Point to the east with homemade ice cream. Around to the east then south then west by the bridge is Cobalt’s. To the west down the ICW is The Wharf with several places to eat and shop then further west is LuLu’s and the new Tacky Jacks. Try the homemade pizza in Shucker’s at the Wharf.
We will be back in March. We would like to see you and your 370.

Vince and Kay,
Thank you for the tips! We will try them! Been there 2 weeks and have not been able to get out. It's either been raining or it has way to windy for us. Hopefully nexst weekend will be better.

Please keep us posted when you are coming. We are current just a couple of slips from the 70' Hatteras.

Jim&Deb

We use those same slips next to the building and parking lot when we are there. Looking forward to meeting you. We have been thinking about going to a 370/380AC. We have owned our 340 for 3 years and still enjoy cruising on the boat.

Vince,
We moved from a 340EC up to the 370AC and for the most part is has all been good. We you and Kay get down here we can meet and give you the tour of ours.

"HAPPY HOLIDAYS"

Jim&Deb

Thanks for the offer. We hope to meet you soon. I will let you know when we are able to come. We hope you have a Merry Christmas and a good New Year.

Vince

Pensacola Jim,

I flew a friend and his wife to Gulf Shores last Sunday to look at an 09, 310 Sundancer. We did a sea trial on Monday and had a great time. It was a very nice boat. We went to Barber's to check on my 340. I saw your 370 AC. You have a beautiful boat. We are looking forward to seeing you all this spring.

Vince

We also boat in Orange Beach. We have a condo on cotton bayou and keep or boat at Romar harbor.
